A nice mosque. I prayed despite being a Sunni. We should stick together as one ummah instead of segregating ourselves as sects

Visiting in the late afternoon with the intention of praying Asr, it seemed from the front that the building was tightly closed, and the gate was locked. After checking other reviews on Google Maps, it turns out this is a mosque for the Shia community in Singapore.

Note, it's a Shia mosque. I went there to pray despite being a Ahli Sunnah wal Jamaah twice.

Only knew it was Shia after I prayed the 2nd time, seeing the people praying in all different kinds of manner and banging their chests, etc.

Seeing as how no one confronted me though, it's still a clean place to pray so I guess it's alright?

Sandwiched between high-rise buildings, this old generation masjid was established by the Dawoodi Bohra community in Singapore as early as 1829. Conveniently located in the Central district, it can accommodate up to 150 people. It is also frequented by office workers in the Hill Street and High Street areas.

The address given is correct postal address, but the only entrance is from "Coleman Road". Please search for "Capitol Piazza car park entrance" to reach here.

This is a Syia mosque. Very rarely used. I usually come across this mosque empty, with the gates opened. Now they are closed but they are not locked (open the right one gate).

If not used, you can switch on the lights and fans through the switches right next to the main door. Switches for ablution room are also next to the door.

If there is an event, you can pray at the partitioned area in the corner. Women can also pray here or upstairs. Wheelchair access available.

Despite the different faith, I find the mosque very convenient and easy to access through the Capitol. Within walking distance from esplanade, city hall mrt, etc.

Architecturally it's unique in this region. Who paid for this magnificent structure? I'm not a Muslim but this would almost convince me of the power of Islam.

I spent less time over here. What I perceive from other reviews is that if the Masjid follows the commands of Allaah and Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam then it's great. But if not, so they should take heed before it's too late

Syiah mosque. They are far from quran and hadith. A muslim should follow the teaching from the quran and the hadith.
