    The waiting time was long.
However, we concede the service attitude adequate, helmed by the medicine pharmacy was esp. apparent.
They were receptive and explained the prescriptions in detail. (Akin to a teacher-student, lol), and we felt confident to consume without hesitation.

I must say that I am always served by CGH staff with respect and smiles. Today, I was late for my appointment. The staff were very helpful. I was afraid I might have to reschedule. The staff contacted the doctor to arrange for me to see my doctor even before I asked. Well done CGH. Your work is much appreciated.

The nurses are friendly and helpful. I’m doing a MRI at basement 1. I heard the machine here is older. The other one at the integrated hospital next door is better. Can anyone please comments

The doctors don’t know what they are doing. Only solution for them is to take easy way out and amputate my father’s toes one by one.

Different doctors come in and give different assesment which creates confusion to my family and in the end costed my father’s toes.

    Waiting.....Waiting.....Waiting...
Came for an acute appendix infection. Waiting time emergency? 4 hours.....Before you got help. When I finally saw a doktor.....There was another 3 hour wait. Way way too overfull, not enough help for the size of the hospital. When I finally got admitted, i was on a bed in the corridor for 6 hours in a room with 10 others, not enough room, no time to operate me, so i transferred to sengkang hospital. Kind of a hospital hell. I give it two stars because the nurses were friendly.

Suffering from severe, scarring acne for 1 year. Doctors refused to give me accutane despite trying and exhausting any and

Pump me full of antibiotics that gave me severe GI issues. Never again.

All the time I was there the senior doctor was SO patronizing. Did not feel like an adult and wasnt respected properly. Do lots of useless and expensive tests.

Horrible. My dad was just discharge staying a few nights at cgh. He didnt want to bother much his kids so he insisted that we went home and he cld take care of himself. Later did we know he shared with us his experiences with the filipino nurses in his ward. He shared that they were rough with him and that they missed giving breakfast for him. Because he is old, he'd rather take his treatment at cgh because its nearer to home and wld not want to transfer hospital. My advise is, avoid cgh at all cost but if u need to have ur parents admitted for some reason, take turns to stay overnight with them or install a private camera to keep watch. I cant press charges because i do not have a concrete evidence but 1 day, im very sure all these will come to light. Of course there are nice nurses im sure, and with all these hype abt respecting them i can totally understand. Its not an easy job for sure. But for that few rotten apples, im very sure 1 day all these will be seen in the eyes of the public.

This shall clock here. It's to trace one memorable part of my 2017 since CGH as a Singapore Hospital de-activated the reviews section on their page! 😊
When someone joked about the name of CGH as "Cannot Go Home", I was feeling very, very puzzled about the nickname.
Here were some very memorable bits of my personal experience at the hospital. These personal experiences led me to conclude the same way as how the hospital is nicknamed:
Early May, Poor Assessment by A&E Doctor
I had a metatarsal toe fracture during the early May 2017. I went to A&E for my first check. During the visit, the on-duty A&E doctor issued 2 days of MC to rest only. My eyes opened with huge surprise.
Thankfully, one of the experienced nurses asked him to re-issue 7 days of hospital Leave so that I could rest my injured foot properly. There was a level of immobility during this period of time too.
    Mid June, Bad Casting Experience:
The first casting experience was great (I was attended by a nursing technician named Hisham at Clinic U). During my second visit, I was told to get back into a brand new cast as my fracture was yet to heal fully.
The 2nd cast done by the older nursing technician was so tight till a point of having blueblack and numb toes on the second night. I rushed to A&E, the entire cast was changed into a temporary one.
Once again, I was appalled by CGH's service delivery and systems. The A&E's payments counter nurse told me that she would not be able to re-schedule the next earliest appointment back at Clinic U (my whole point was to head back into a proper foot cast by Clinic U asap so that I would not be delaying the time required for recovery. Every single day of being away from work matters and counts dearly.)
I was feeling perplexed why the systems of different hospital units were not sync altogether, allowing the nurses to manage such special cases well. I was told to call back on next possible weekday and schedule for an appointment from Clinic U. Not to mention, I was made to make an entire new payment for my temporary cast at A&E.
Good Service Delivery from Hisham, the Nursing Technician of Clinic U:
Luckily, I was allowed to head back for re-casting the feet properly at Clinic U next few days.
I was once attended by the polite and efficiently skilled Hisham. On the day of event, I met the older nursing technician who did the bad feet cast with bad swells. He was not feeling apologetic at all. Perhaps, egoism took over him.
    Overall Verdict:
Doctors' Quality: I believe and witness that CGH is indeed using too many young doctors .. None of them can provide a professional, quick and sound examination.
Like the ones at A&E, till some point, they will inform the patients that they need to head next door and get better advices from their team lead or in-charge of the day. These are also the little details that slow down the service delivery.
Nurses' Quality: For good 3-4 months of attending medical appointments or going through this MT fracture recovery, I met many good and experienced nurses - they were really patient with older patients too.
On another observation, these nurses did deliver better work details as they paid good observations of certain situations through the busy operating days of a hospital.
Systems: The entire hospital system is totally inefficient. Everything can be better in terms of syncing systems across departments or clinics well, allowing data to be pulled out easily by officers at your hotline so that they can advise callers more effectively (yes! The callers at their hotline failed good times too.)
I took efforts of writing this long review over my personal experience.
As a community or Singapore hospital, I just hope - Changi General Hospital will be able to improve better, work harder, strive harder to serve your patients.
(Oh, this post was written during the waiting game for the doc at my last appointment. To beat the hospital system, you have to arrange your appointment on Monday, you will be able to complete the visit more quickly!)

Was admitted here after a road accident. I was conscious almost throughout the entire time after my accident and got to see the A&E staff working on me first hand. Was quite impressed by their professionalism, though there were periods of time I was just left alone with my pain coz I think the few doctors there were busy.

The lead up to the operation was also delayed.. and because I was on spinal nursing and couldn't be sedated, I lay on a bed trolley outside the op room gasping for air for at least 30min after I was given a throat numbing substance prematurely. The surgeon (trainee, maybe?) failed her first attempt at intubation but thankfully, I was sedated only seconds after the second attempt succeed.

At the ward, the nurses were caring and polite, although my family and relatives keep complaining that they did not apply ointment on the too-numerous-to-count abrasions all over my body. There were endless blood tests and once, a presumably trainee doctor botched up my blood-drawing process. Doctors flitted in and out of the wards constantly with interns in tow, but they were always professional and mostly friendly. The physiotherapists here have their schedules full too, but I find that I can talk to them much easier than the doctors, who always seemed to be in a hurry.

That said, CGH's wholesome extent of care for trauma victims, from physical to psychological, genuinely surprises me. I was visited by so many doctors and nurses from different departments during that one week stay in hospital. I guess the whole experience wasn't so bad (and other hospitals might have been worse) but there were definitely room for improvement.

Staffs are generally friendly. However the waiting time to see the doctors is madness. Medical doctors at the wards don't seemed to care about the queries by caregivers. Please double check your medicine dispend by the pharmacist. I was given wrong medication prescribed by the doctor and was Only informed when I reached home. The pharmacist even requested me to get back to CGH to change the medicine. Kinda of ridiculous.

Despite the previous reviews on long waiting time in A&E and Pre-Appointment Bookings. I would definitely recommend CGH over SGH based on my experience. I have had cases where I requested for my cases to be reviewed a second time at CGH as I believed the SGH doctors were incompetent. The waiting time has always been +/- 15 minutes and the consulting doctor has never rushed me or decline to hear my medical reasons. Appointment bookings has been flexible though sometimes its fully book, there are avenues for you to seek that particular day/time if there is urgent need.

I did my androgram here in April 2015, after repeated tests. The doctors and nurses are awesome and they did their best to help but it is obvious they are short-handed, even for a government hospital standard. Queueing time can be long. For those who demand more, pls head to the private specialists.

Having high fever 38.9. Gave me panadol and made me wait 7 hours suffering in cold and told me he will give me anti biotics and return if the situation gets worst. I had to insist that i wana do a blood test as this is not normal. Why do you have only 2 gp rooms to cater 100 over patients? And to suggest them to take anti biotics when they can just get it from a private gp who is so much cheaper.
