Bad ventilation. 5 mins here and you'll smell you've been drenched in cheap cooking oil. I don't care how nice the cakes are. It's take away only for me.
The Bulgogi Beef Short Rib was simply perfect, the pumpkin potato mash on the side was heavenly too. I would recommend making it a set meal. For $7, you get a drink, a cake and a soup. Yuzu moose cake was tastefully light, great way to end dinner.
Cafe tucked at a corner of Tiong Bahru cafe area, selling healthy western Asian fusion food.
I had the Bulgogi Beef Short Rib stew bowl which was really tasty. Kimchi has a good balance of acidity and spiciness and the beef was tender and had no bones.
I add on soup, cake and drink. Mushroom miso soup was ok, got pairing with the bowl.
Had quite some cakes to select from and I got the Yuzu mousse which looked quite appetizing but too sweet for my liking. I will prefer it to be more citrus less sweet. My friend got the ondeh ondeh cake which was considerably light and the shredded coconut taste just right in terms of sweetness and bite.
I think I will return to this cafe if I'm in the vacinity, for the bowl and not the cake. If I wanted dessert, I will walk to Drips bakery which is 50m away.
A nice hideaway from the hustle and bustle of life is this little cafe. It serves Asian, Western and a combination of other South East Asian food. Very unique in the way the food is cooked and presented. Tasty but healthy food in reasonable portions. Run by young people but caters to all ages. Good for a romantic dinner or a family outing. Worth dropping by.
Best har jeong gai burger I've had in SG. Fries were crispy and fresh, the chicken meat was succulent and tasty from the tip of the skin down to every bite.
Sad that the place smelled a little too much like oil and there wasn't WiFi.
Love the har cheong kai burger, but there's an oily smell around the cafe~
It used to be good.. But after the change of menu along with the tableware we are left confused. For the $18+ price we are paying, we are now self served with plastic cutlery and disposable bowls. Drinks were served in disposable cups... I'm not sure if I'm in a restaurant or a food court.
Food still tastes alright but it is a struggle to properly eat with the plastic utensils.
Not suitable for corporate lunch
Food is good but almost all their service ware is disposable. Could be more considerate of the environment.
Lunch bowls are nice, the sesame chicken and mentaiko salmon are good options
Menu has changed from Western to rice bowl. Sads
Hidden gem near tiong bahru.. the food here is amazing. Tastes just as good as it looks and at very reasonable price.. I really like the atmosphere too. Staffs are very friendly too.. looking foward to visiting again v soon.
Great food standard. Pleasant atmosphere. Menu slightly limited and a little pricey though.
Friendly staff and nice meal. They got many regular customer.
Nice food but service can be better in terms of attentiveness
Great food for the main courses but the black forest is somewhat letdown - tasteless and lack of character. The salad is our fav and hei bee hiam pasta are must try. Service really lack polish ... young and inexperienced wait staff with little training.
Great food and cakes. Service is also very good. Nice cosy place.
Little unexpected gem. Very friendly staff. Try Have Bee Hiam pasta! Very fragrant with lots of crunch from veggies.
nice little cozy neighbourhood shop, great people running the group of companies... ;-)
considering the environment, price and service/product, it is above my expectation - congratulations!
visitors, do give the modest chicken chop & pralet cake a go.... 👍🏻
Good food and the waitress is very bubbly and nice:)
Tasted the Hwa Tiao Vongole Set today...
Relaxed atmosphere. Set lunches are good value!
their cakes are delicious and at affordable price. recommended !
The cafe is a very chill place. The cakes and food are fantastic along with good selection of tea and coffee. I can do my work in the cafe after my meal.
