Good food, nice people. Ask to sit upstairs, very cosy!
Must try the rendang and prawn cake. Very nice!! Chendol is very smooth also.
I think this the only place you can find Thai & Baba food in the same place
Very nice deco
Makes you feel like you're in a real Baba house
Some antiques on display are really hard to come by
The food is good
The staff are friendly
Keep it up
I really hope you guys can stay for a very very long time 😊
Amazing food, great ambiance, reasonably priced, and friendliest staff
The place is ok = food about average, service fast and friendly, noisy environment with a lot of chair-scratching over wooden floors, price 60 SGD for 4 dishes and no drinks (2 persons). Beautiful Chinese shop house front in the dark.
Old style shop house restaurant. Decor are antique style inside the shop. There bare two story on this reataurant.Theod are Thai and nyonya style. Dishes are in small portion and can oreder more variety to try.
Great food. We tried the rendang, keluak chicken and ice chendol. Enjoyed it all.
The food was delicious, service excellent and decor charming. Our Indonesian helper said the food was better than what she had back home!
Delicious food. Reasonable price. Cosy ambient.
Soft shell crab all day everyday. Plus tomyum is really nice
Food is great and price so reasonable. Will come again next time with family..
Food is amazingly tasty. Expect to spend $20 per person. Well worth the cost.
Nicely decorated place. Fusion of Thai and Indonesian cuisine. Peranakan deco
Dined here with 2 family members. Ordered 5 dishes and impressed with 4 (ngoh hiang was a little let down). Total bill only S$62 for 3, a feast for the eyes (nice decor) and the palate (authentic, not too salty). Will be back sometime soon.
Nice food , and environment but a bit pricey
Delicious! worth checking out, but a little touristy
Craving for Indonesian and Thai Food? This is just the right place.
+ Place: Cozy, traditional-peranakan looking and good for 5-8 people gathering.
+ Price: Food prices are in the range of 8-15.
+ (top) Picks: Black Ink squid, Sambal Kangkong, Green Curry, Rendang, Tom Yum Seafood Soup, Fried Fish with House Chilli, Avocado Juice. I think most of their foods are superb!
Very charming cozy place with excellent food!
Yummy Peranakan restaurant. Very small restaurant set in refurbished shop houses that's not so good for large parties but super cosy and traditionally decorated for intimate gatherings.
Loved the coffee-chicken. A very surprising flavour and taste! Lovely 🙌
Although "bumbu" is an indonesian word, this place is more a mix of indonesian, thai and a bit of peranakan. I like the sambal kangkung and tahu telor.
We were a group of 10. Food was good. Staff were helpful in suggesting dishes, which were great. Ambience lovely. I hear they also have a branch in Farrer road.
We were a group of 4, having dinner at Bumbu on a Friday night without a reservation. Very delicious food, it was very well seasoned and our dinner included curries, fish dishes, both steamed rice and very good olive-seasoned fried rice. No alcohol was on offer, and the drinks section was generally very limited.
The place is rather small, and the air con inside was set to a very low temperature. We sat outside, there is room for about 10 people, which was much better temperature-wise.
We would definitely come back!
