Long established AVANCE'S parent company is HOLLYWOOD COSMETICS Co., Ltd. HOLLYWOOD was established 1925 in Tokyo after the founder had studied in Hollywood, U.S. He brought the Hollywood beauty technique of makeup, hair care, and hair styling to Japan building hair salon, cosmetic factory, and hair stylist school. On the process, He launched eye lash and eye brow serum called “KARREN” in 1933. Surprisingly, it is still sold till now.

In 1996, HOLLYWOOD established AVANCE focusing R&D on eye care and eye makeup in Japan. Importantly, is to produce a good quality eye care product at reasonable affordable price using the full know‐how of “KARREN.” AVANCE, then began it first penetration into the market with the “lash serum” and “brow serum”. The serum consist of two main effective ingredients, Quaternium‐ 51 and Panthenol (known as Vitamin B5 ). It is also widely known as one of the most beneficial sensitive skin care supplements and cosmetic ingredients available on the market today.

The well‐known AVANCE Lash serum EX was launched in year 2000. There are many Eye Lash Serum in Japan. AVANCE Eye Lash Serum is unique and it
distinguished among itself many other brands. AVANCE established it own market share and performance in the Eye Care market. With the present of Quaternium‐ 51, it is have been treated as quasi‐ drag in Japan. Mostly other brands’ eye lash serum is only compounded Panthenol and sold just as cosmetics.
