Excellent schnitzel including a truffle option at a reasonable price at this small farm with attached restaurant run by a very friendly family. Lovely banana split too. Best to remember, in stark contrast to most places in Sweden, they only take cash. On the plus side given I hadn't bothered to withdraw any Swedish kronor they took Euro at the current rate of exchange. My daughter was ecstatic that she got to feed scraps to the pigs.

Söderhult är charmigt, personligt och serverar väldigt god mat. Underbar lekmiljö för barn. Vi har pratat om det sedan vi var där sommar 2015. Vi planerar att åka tillbaka. Lotta, Theo, Melker och Charlie

Fantastic for and atmosphere! Best Wiener schnitzel in Sweden (world?). The place is so cute and unbelievably beautiful. I had the Cordon Blu Schnitzel, and it was amazing! As of Aug. 10, 2016 they only take cash, but it is worth the effort!

A Perfect place to stay !
Me and my family stayed at Söderhult for about two weeks in July 2015 and it was wonderful.
The kids, 7 and 9 yrs, enjoyed to feed the pigs, highland cattle and alpacas, go for a walk with indulgent farmdog Ben and to play with the many other children.
As we come from Autria we were of course fond of Ferdinands Schnitzel and Carolinas tasty breakfast.
We spent some nights in the sweet lill stugan which is low ceilinged, but cosy, and also enjoyed our time at Djursdala-hut, where the spacious kitchen and bathrooms are nearby.
Most people stay there mainly to visit Astrid Lindgrens värld, which is highly recommended and worth a two days visit, but there is plenty more to see and do in the region:
Katthults farm of Emil/Michl-films, Norra Kvills National-park for hiking and the nearly 1000 yrs old Kvilleken, Lakes to fish and take a bath, Karamelkokeri in Mariannelund, Bullerby and also daytrips e.g. to the old City of Linköping or to Gränna at Lake Vättern.
All in all for us this was Smaland at its best.

Probably the largest schnitzel in Småland and defiantly the tastiest. This place feels like an Austrian biergarten in the backyard of a picturesque Swedish farm house. Tasty wisebeir and local ingredients.

Remember to give them a call in advance to make sure they are open and have a table available.
