Very good place to visit but normally not marketed and hidden from public eye. History of the Arab is preserved.

One of the very few places spared by the Saudis where you get to see the Ottoman construction style. The museum has a few interesting artifacts and brief explanations telling their significance from Madain Saleh to Islam's spread, takeover of Hejaz by Ottomans and later the Saud family. Handicap access is not available.
    Nicely described

Somewhat biased toward the Saudi rulers but overall has informative exhibits that give historical timelines for Mecca, Medina, lineage of Muhammad salallahu alayji wasalaam. Ironically does not have much about the hejaz railway itself that was build Ottoman Caliph Sultan Abdul Hameed.

Excellent museum with so much of historical information. Not convenient for elderly to walk up two flight of stairs to view information. Ground floor has basic information. Entrance to Museum is free but entrance to the railway yard is SR10. Very impressed with the role that the Ottomans had with regard to building a railway track from Istanbul to Medina. Way ahead of its time and very strategic. A must visit.

I like it very much because there are some rare information available here. You can see some items from thousands of years ago to near past. It also shows the Islamic history as well as local culture of Arab world. This place was a railway station in past now it has converted into a museum. If you want to complete visit this museum then come in morning time.

This is not Al Hejaz Museum.
The railway museum is at the southwest of Nabawi. It has more information in English for you who can't understand Arabic.
