Drove from KSA to UAE, 210 Dirhams for car insurance is the cheapest possible at the border (cash accepted). Charged 33 Dirhams each to exit UAE when returning to KSA, can only be paid using a credit or debit card... no cash allowed. A smooth enough border crossing both ways... KSA to UAE approx 30 mins, UAE to KSA approx 1 hour.

Officers are not helpful. This border between UAE and KSA there heavy traffic in but the peak in Eid and some events its the only one between this country the tuff with smuggling spatial with alcohol and drug following the rules are the best way to get out safe
