Great place for pizza and few other vegetarian options.
Busy and they charge the men occasionally as to avoid overcrowding.
Kicking place and plays nice music with a view to Kigali
I can't rate this place more than 4 stars for one simple reason: the slow service. You don't expect this when you are paying 10,000frw entrance fee.
Besides that, the food is excellent, but you'll be old by the time you get it.
The ambience & music are great - especially on Sundays and their is a great view of Kigali
I visited Pili Pili to catch the SA vs. New Zealand rugby match on their big screens, which were impressive.
However, my dining experience was marred by poor service and a baffling billing issue.
Despite the menu clearly stating, "All dishes come with mix salad and side dish of your choice," I was charged an extra RWF 2,000 for the salad. When I brought this to the waiter and manager's attention, they surprisingly argued against their own menu (see screenshot).
Due to language barriers (the staff struggled with English) and a desire to avoid further confrontation, I reluctantly paid the additional fee.
The service was slow and inattentive. I arrived at 5:08 pm, but my order wasn't taken until 5:30 pm, and my meal didn't arrive until 6:20 pm.
I recommend that staff training is improved. Plus, change of the menu to enhance customer service and to match the quality of your facilities.
it was a good view. they were running out of some local food options so we had to take a leave without eating.
the cabs are ready outside. good views and loud music.
I cannot comment to the quality of the bedrooms available, however the restaurant/ bar area are fabulous slightly rustic with a bit of "coastal meets bushveld" vibe to it. A large open plan pub restaurant leading into a beach vibe chill area with actual beach sand thrown in for good measure!!
Large TV screens to watch your favourite sports taking place around the worlda fabulous pool to splash one's feet in (although I was hoping for some bikini clad lasses to appear).and as far as the menu is concerned.it is very extensive with plenty to suit every palate.I and my mates enjoyed a large Platter to share to start with and then later in the evening we enjoyed the 1kg Fillet steak platter!
All in all it was a great evening spent there 🏆🍻
Bad experience , they say free entrance but at the place they ask for entrance fee I paid 10k. And the service was bad , I wanted to eat but I didn't because for getting drinks, I spent almost an hour so I could not spend more time for food. Plz, remove your "free entrance" written in each of your posts.
even though i could afford things there, everything on the menu is ridiculously expensive. when you enter nobody greets you or recognizes you. i sat on bar and left after 2 minutes of browsing the menu. not an exciting place for me and certainly dont come waste your money and time here
Great place to chill, have a drink and watch football especially on a Sunday. However, the customer service is poor when it’s packed. Great service from Queenie who takes her time to prompt us if we need a table. What a good vibe but general customer service can improve with better pay and service.
There’s opportunity for competition to serve actual paying customers.
Tuesday: I was hoping to have dinner then stay on and drink the night at Pili Pili restaurant. It was my first time to visit and it was a bit hard to find. Upon arrival, I was met at the gate by a smiling server who took good care of me. This is where the good experience ends. They didn’t have what I wanted so I had dry pizza after a very long wait. About half way through, the server said her shift was ending and she wanted to close my bill. I paid it.
The next shift ignored me. After about 1 hr and 45 min, I got up and walked past all the servers in front of the bar. They acted like they didn’t see me.
Sunday: Even though my last experience wasn’t so good, the next was so bad, I’m never going again.
I was told Sunday night was good there. I showed up around 9PM. I estimate there were 150 patrons and standing room only. The bar was too crowded to find a place to stand. There were TWO bartenders. I walked around the club hoping to find a server. I walked upstairs, around the pool then to the back. All the tables were occupied but not everyone was drinking either by choice or from poor service. As I walked back to the front toward the bar, Security pushed me as he escorted two other patrons past me. With my mood ruined, I went to the bar and waited a few minutes then gave up. If I can’t get a drink in 45 min, the bar doesn’t need or deserve my business.
With an amazing view of Kigali at night, the lighting from the opposite side is so adorable. Pili is a nice place to go during weekends and sometimes after work.
Food is really nice and they offer special discount on Pizza from Monday to Friday (amazing).
Literally, this place is not expensive and you can get most of the things you may want in a bistro.
We really enjoy Pili Pili. There's great views a cool vibe and really reasonably priced pizza during happy hour, m-f 12-3 and 5-7. It's 3000 for a pie. They also have happy hour during the week nights after 7 pm with certain specials. Monday is a kg of beef fillet Yes fillet for 10,000. However, the steak was well done even though we asked for medium rare Really clearly making sure they understood But the kitchen apparently didn't. English isn't very strong in this restaurant, I think 4 times the wrong thing has been brought to us, but I've never had to pay for it so no worries. Service is good, but not quick. The pool and the ambiance is great. I think you can usually swim for free if you eat there. They often have live music at night, and even more often big sports games. Overall I'm a big fan.
Quite a nice place with good view over Kigali. Wood style house creates a comfortable ambient. Food is also quite good.
As the name suggests, the have some really pepper-hot sauces. Take if from me, I come from Ghana in West Africa and all our meals are full of pepper. My only visit there was in a very large (over 100) group so we had a buffet. The options served were very rich, particularly the lasagne. Excellent variety of salads and grilled meats - lamb, steak and pork. I can’t speak for the a la cart menu as I have experienced that yet.
Ambience is incredible. Situated at top of one of Kigali’s many hills, you get a detoxing, almost 360 view of of the capital. View is best enjoyed at night where you also get to see the iconic Kigali Convention Center lit up in all its glory and color.
There is an upper deck and a lower deck. The former has the view and latter, a swimming pool. Both have a bar with a large model of an old-school plane hanging over it. Excellent hangout as a romantic dinner or for very large groups.
Beautiful place! Great atmosphere. Nice choice of good wines. Good food. Especially the meat and pizzas. Will come back for sure.
We went there as a group of 6, ordered drinks and everyone got their food at different times. And when when we got our food the same thing happened plus brochettes were cold as if they had just come our of the refrigerator instead of the grill. Spoke to the manager they put them back on the grill, coming back again they were only like on degree warmer. I do not recommend this place, the service is super slow and the food definitely could be better. I probably won't ever return.
The ambience is beautiful! The view of Kigali from here is exquisite, the service impeccable and the meals so yummy. The crowd is also good, mature and modern
We stayed at their guesthouse, 3 apartments furnished beautifully to western standards. Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast and food was very tasty. Also agree with other comments here, the view is perfect, the pool is great. Overall, highly recommend and probably the best boutique place I stayed at in Africa. Great value for money. Special shout out to the 3sisters coffee bar run by professional baristas Alex & Angelo, who not only served incredibly tasty coffee but were always up for a chat, giving us great insights into Kigali life today.
The view was just amazing! The pizza was average but the fish fillet was great. Service was also good. It is a large restaurant with a bar and options to sit on a balcony or poolside.
Pili Pili was beautiful - particularly loved the makeshift beach they created (sand and all). The food was good and the view was amazing. The plating was amazing as well. Service is a bit slow (well we came in during a game so maybe that was why). Stay away from the Sangria (wasn't so great to us). Meals cost average 8,000 RWF. Drinks vary based on choice.
Great architecture. Great view. Great food
Nice atmosphere, great music and very good food. Specials are also good value
Very well place with nice view on Kigali and good drinks and food. But here there are no African dances because is to much Chinese and umuzungu :D
Great place to chill out during the day on weekends. Have a swim, catch the latest live sports or just enjoy a good lunch with a nice bottle of wine.
Nice place behind town disturbances, huge delicious pizzas and nice pool with a sand beach
A nice place. Great cuisine and a restful place.
A little far from town and hard to find but chill space with a pool in the middle. Lots of outdoor and indoor soace to hang out. Great view of the city as well. Perfect place to take guests in town.
The best place to enjoying a night out with just about anyone..be it a guys or girls night out ,this is the best place around Kigali to start the night
Great pub/ restaurant in Kigali, a worthile visit in the capital of Rwanda with big screen for major sport events, swimming pool and well stocked bar.
Best ribs I've ever had! Well done guys.
Wonderful view of Kigali from the outside bar, nice ambience, cool spot to have an early evening with friends and hold meaningful conversations.
Nice swimming pool, very beautiful view, for sports lover there is sports bar. I love their Vegetables Pizza.
Great place.. I love chili and this place has the hottest pilipili sauce. Am yet to meet a hotter one in Kigali
nice place to chill and enjoy shisha with a view
Pili Pili is a good BAR & RESTAURANT, they have Mikeke fish, Steak and all bar and restaurant foods, price is little gigh but plan to visit and never be disapointed, juste make sure if you order additional things, tell the waiter to put on Invoice, it seems like when you order last thing like soda or water, keep saying we forget to add on invoice but is this amount, i am not sure if this is not tricky as it happened to me with my friend and try it yourself and you will see😂😂
Great food and customer service. Music is Morden but you need to keep quiet here as it's near residential buildings.
pili, pili is nice grill, bar and shesha (Hookah) lounge, don't miss their skew grilled meat, it is really good
Cool setting, pool overlooking the city. Didn't have food, just drinks. Staff seems overwhelmed sat at the bar for 20 mins with an empty glass no one acknowledged me let alone asked me if I wanted another drink. busy but disorderly
It's a wonderful place, especially in the evening! Be there and enjoy your African dinner!
