Another good place for everyone to go and check. You can see the culture of the Russian people on this wonderful cathedral. You have to visit it if you are in Petersburg

Excellent monument of neoclassical architecture. Place where Field Marshal Michael Kutuzov the man who defeated Emperor Napoleon is buried. Here you can find famous French Eagles or regimental colors captured by Russian Imperial Army during the War of 1812 and Foreign Campaign of, 1813-1814 accomplished in March of 1814 when Russian soldiers entered Paris and captured Napoleon.

Wonderful cathedral by famous Russian architect Voronikhin. Named by most powerful and loved Our Lady of Kazan protecting Russia. Impressive place, especially with burials of greatest Russian officer Mikhail Kutuzov.

My favorite cathedral in St Petersburg. Austere and mystical interior. Definitely worth the visit.

Kazan is an active church and therefore you may enter free of charge. It is, however, not always open, but when it is you can often witness a church service or even sometimes a wedding taking place inside. The interior, like most Orthodox churches, is just beautiful. You should ask the local priest's blessing before taking photos inside this active church

Simply stunning! Inspired by St Peter's Basilica in Vatican, this is a very unusual Russian church, inside and out.

It's amazing and exposing structure in the heart of the city. Although it Resembles a lot of other buildings throughout Western Europe, being in this city and location, gives it a much different meaning/ experience.

    One word to describe: Magnificent

Free entrance, have in mind that it's not a museum, it's an active orthodox church so if you visit be respectful to the people praying.

Worth a visit, and as it opens early it can be a first stop of the day before heading to all those must-sees nearby.

Located on the Nevsky Prospect, a long, straight, wide main shopping street and tourist area. Kazan Cathedral is a smallish cathedral with a very imposing entrance, being a large walled gate. In my opinion, the wall and entrance is more spectacular and imposing than the cathedral itself.
