  Really nice old fashioned patisserie with a great selection of cakes. Mostly Russian customers when we went, although the prices were quite touristy.

  Данное кафе этой сети является одним из главных и популярных в городе. В нем всегда шумно и многолюдно. Огромный выбор тортов и пирожных. Бывают очереди и возможно, что вы не сядете, но можно все взять с собой.
  FOR FOREIGNERS
  One of the most popular cafes on Nevskii prospect. It is a russian analogy of Starbucks, though it focuses on cakes and other sweet stuff. It is kind of like Fazer, for those familiar, though food is the main priority. Good quality cakes. Possible takeaway. The only trouble for those who don't know russian is that saleswomen don't really know english, so either try to speak with gestures, or ask people around whether they know english. You are likely to find one as Nevskii is full of people, and this cafes is popular. Finally there is an English study centre next door, so there should be students nearby, who speak russian and english.

  Legendary place for sweet-lovers. In soviet era "Sever" was a great brand of sweets and desserts. Now it's just a trade mark
