I complaint against bus number 20 and 12 that they're not Stopping on muntaza Stop 1 and Iranian school stop. Atleast they can Stop in Iranian school. Construction department given way for bus to Stop but driver's are in hurry

One affordable transportation here in Doha is through bus. It is the cheapest transpo you get when going to your work place and going back home. There are places that are not accessible by bus but you can try walking then, look for the nearest bus stop. This transportation is very helpful.

First of all it's its a public transport I wish all the best.. But I really fed up with my first journey.. Was taking too much time find out where bus is.. In bus stand waited a lot.. And when I gotta enter into the bus.. Accident happened while I'm entered the bus... Bus crashed with another bus while taking reverse.. Bus really cheap 2.5 Q R.. but too much time consuming.. Whatever it was my first bus ride in qatar.. Was really went bad.. I m really shocked.... But has to improve little more staffs.,schedules.. Hope gonna better service soon..

Most of my travals in Qatar through karwa bus .it's very cheap and it has trip all around Qatar.we can purchase bus card from bus station .it cost only 30 Qatar Riyal. We can recharge this card as we need.If you are not buy this card even though you can travel by bus by paying 10 Qatar Riyal to driver then he provide a temporary card which is valid 24 hours.it can be used for another trip.(you can reach Doha bus station by using this card also you can round Corniche in double decker with same card😎).
We can install karwa app from play store to understand bus routes and stops.
Google Maps also provide bus routes with bus number.
Drivers will help if you have any doubt regarding stops places etc..

However we may wait up to 30 minits to get bus from bus stop in some routes.

In Some rout every 15 minit there is a bus and in some routes 2 bus in an hour...

Al Ghanim Bus station only Bus station in Qatar, situated in old Ghanim Near Bank Road, place is busy, all bus routes of Qatar is departure from this station only, it is run by Karwa, following are the service they provide at bus station
1). New bus pass
2). Bus pass recharge
3). Seating area
4). Restroom
5). Waiting room
6). Snack area

Station is decent. Waiting area filled with food hawkers. inner routes and outer routes are divided to make passengers easier. Male toilet are worst. Poor housekeeping. Slip Hazard. Smoking is not regulated.

Well organized bus station. Still more places could be added in the fleet. Love the bus card system where you can recharge your card in several outlets and you can pay your bus fare on the go via the machine installed near the driver. Cool stuff.

***Catching The Local Buses ***
- getting to and from the old City from Airport by local bus
*Bus 747 and bus 109 goes to the centre of the Old City ( Al Ghanim station) from the main Airport
*109 + the 199 bus goes to the beaches (smart card 24 hr $ 20 Qar you can buy this ticket at Al Ghanim station ) unlimited 24 hour bus use on all buses around doha buses run frequently approx every 20 to 30 minutes
* To get to The Pearl Qatar
From the Al Ghanim bus station in the old city Catch Bus 76 to the Cornice ( ask bus driver to drop you off next to bus stop 777 near the sheriton hotel see picture ) then catch bus 777 to the pearl - when returning catch the bus at the same spot on opposite side of road :-)
*Bus 777 also goes from new city to the airport and vise versa ( this bus does not go to the old city )

To be honest this public c transport could try and become more public friendly. Should take out the rule of only opening the doors at specific spots and allow the passengers to be able to get out or get in when it's ideal fo the bus to stop.

Today. I was standing bus stop 33165. 727 bus should stop at this point. But driver didn't stop the bus even I was waving from far. I wanted to go airport area. Time was at 9.10pm. Just little kids hike back. Why you guys having such a irresponsible drivers.

Bus Services are not that good. Bus Stop and station doesn't look good at all. No proper or comfortable seating for passengers at the bus station or in the bus. Most of the bus stops doesn't have cover also, it's so bad to see just a single pole standing and numbers of passengers suffering from scorching heat. Long route like Alkhor,Shahaniya or messeila or wakes doesn't have good comfortable buses. Need to improve alot. It looks like mowasalat doesn't care about passengers at all. The bus services are not 24hrs service as well.

Its OK. But need to be upgraded. If qatar roads are made more pedestrian friendly, more people will start using bus. Especially since world cup is approaching government need to consider this factor and make proper upgradation for future. Signs and Parking of buses to each area should be made more good. Passenger waiting and other facilities need to be made good.

Doha bus station where you can find all the buses for all the area. Waiting time are different based on the location where you need to go. Smart card system is available over here.Time tables are shown but slightly there will be some different in bus timings. During summer it is very difficult for long waiting.

runs quite efficiently.. although a big roof in the waiting area is badly needed, for all the passengers waiting in the hot sun (which is the case most of the year :)
