  well i was here to pay a speeding ticket so I didn't exactly enjoy it haha! the place is easy to find, I was seen immediately, the police officer was polite and answered my questions, spoke good English, took my money and gave me a receipt. I was in and out in under 10 minutes (Monday about 4pm). so apart from the fact they fined me, it was really good experience :-) there's a speed camera next to it on the main road, try to not get another one on the way in to pay :-P

  It happened one year back with my BMW 5 SERIES & still it is irrirating or Disturbing my mind a LOT because of the reason i am not Guilty and i paid for it...i had a bad very bad experience with Old airport traffic department.
  It happened like this.. it was an evening i went to D-ring road lulu hypermarket with my wife to buy something from there, time is around 8:30PM, i reached inside the lulu hypermarket & lucky i got parking and my wife stepdown from the car, and i am still backing my car inside the shaded parking .. 20% is outside.. AND it happened in a lightning Speed One Yellow Karwa Taxi came very fast from behind the parking, he carelessly turn his car and Hit on my Cars left side damaging by Headlight,Bumber,Engine Hood, Grill, fog light etc..etc.. because of his speed he is only able to stop his car far from the accident spot(my car in parking in second Row patling from the turning) At the time of accident, Hazard light & head light is on and my wife is outside to take care.....
  When i call traffic dept they ask me to take car to Airport traffic, when i reach their i tried to explained what happened...there is one hindi/bengali translator who is translating to Sudanese police who streight away don't want to hear me or he can't understand English...
  Immediate after the accident i have video footage of the Accident spot with both the cars.. i tried to show this video to police man there..he Refused to See that video & yelling the if you talk more i will Fine you another 2000 QR.. that still i don't understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  Conclusions:
  1.) Inside the Lulu Hypermarket the Taxis are driving tooo Fast & Carelessly especially YELLOW TAXIS
  2.) Yellow taxi driver & traffic police translator is from same place.. where he supports his country man
  3.) TIME EXCEED TO PROVIDE "DEFENSIVE DRIVING TRAINING" TO ALL THE KARWA TAXI DRIVERS!!!!!!!! & TIMELY REFRESHMENT TRAINING.
  
  WITH THIS ACCIDENT MY CAR LOST THE CHARM & MY CARS INSURANCE IS UPTO 250% SUPPLUS ...
  BECAUSE OF NOT MY FAULT EVEN, KARWA TAXI USED MY INSURANCE TO REPAIR HIS CAR.!!! ?????

  The service I experienced was relatively quick and the policeman who helped to report the incident asked me genuinely if I was ok. I answered I was, and he said that's the main thing. Everything else can be replaced. He explained the process clearly and called me half an hour later to see if I had received the text message from the insurance company he said I required to get a replacement hire car. At that stage I hadn't. He said give it 5 minutes and if you don't receive it call the Department back. He actually called me back within minutes and by then I had received the text message. I really appreciated this efficient, friendly and caring service which really negated the impact of having the accident. Thank you hugely!
