LAGOS ZOO

  Pretty small zoo, only small animals here. You can get really close to a lot of the animals though.
  
  Not sure why they call it "Lagos" zoo as it's a massive pain in the arse to get to from Lagos. Very limited bus service. Apparently there is a specific zoo bus in summer. We went in October and we ended up getting a taxi for €17 each way.

  Very nice zoo.
  Out of the blue! A very nice surprise (was not expecting to find a zoo in area, let alone so nice).
  
  Very quiet and peaceful.
  We let kids (5yo) walk ahead and explore freely, as we strolled slowly behind. Nice to be able to enjoy it too and not having to worry or rush w/ little ones :)
  
  Don't know what people are on about, complaining about it being small and no big animals etc.
  Animals have an amazing enrichment...
  
  Seen smaller zoos in England and France (later, just birds in dirty/dark cages) and in Sydney, the animals are in a far more compacted/on top of each other per Sq/m!
  Yes, it's no S Francisco zoo, but it's an awesome experience!
  Most, don't even know it exists...
  
  Pretty good souvenir shop too. It's nice to have different/unusual souvenirs for the kids (unlike others in Australia, w/ much less variety) kids loved this one - just right ;)
  
  We make sure we come every time, no matter where we're visiting Algarve :)
  
  P.S. thank goodness there's no animal performing shows - just as natural habitat/behaviour as possible!
  We enjoy watching animals not performing as clowns...

  Great walk for the kids, takes around 2 hours with a 3 year old on foot. We loved how the kangaroos were roaming free and crossing our path!

  Nice smallish zoo. Some animals however are kept in small pens. Good for a day out with the kids. Monkeys are however fun to watch.

  Kind of small but very lovely. You can ver really close to some animals and spend a great time with tour kids.

  Splendid location, lots of wild animals to see. A must see Zoo Park in the Algarve!
