Mapa is a platform that promotes and exhibits works by a community of independent graphic, photograph, illustration, and product contemporary national and international designers. The Gallery is based in Faro and also is a virtual repository selection of distinguished designers and their works. The goal of the gallery is also to exhibit different exhibitions and installations on public and private places. Founders António Lacerda and Alexandra Santos have enjoyed a distinguished career as designers, researchers and independent curators.
The gallery is also involved in the research and production of the limited edition works exhibited and though still involved with the Portuguese design scene, pretends to be a platform for design from around the world.
