É um lugar absurdamente caro. As comidas são sim gostosas. Dependendo da fila nem vale a pena entrar. Quando fui o tempo de espera foi pequeno e, por isso, valeu. Recomendo a torta de amêndoas, é maravilhosa.

Not a whole lot of cuisine centric place but I went there for a sake of trail of Harry Potter. In the end, this is a gorgeous place, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a nicely presented dessert. Sad to be missed so cramp it into your schedule when you are passing by!

Well, it’s a nice place to have a tea time for real. The interior is antique and elegant. Also, their service is quite nice, too. But that’s all.... atmosphere is so noisy and there is no music, just it’s full of chatting aloud. Coffee is nothing special. French toast is quite yummy. But price is too much overpriced. Just one piece of small toast is 4.50€...
Just it’s enough to visit one time there.

erm...seriously what are they famous for? deco? don’t seems like anything impressive. food? normal at best. cheap? couldn’t be more wrong.
well..there’s nothing seriously wrong but 120% overhyped.
for a truly impressive cafe..check out New York Café in BUDAPEST(not in US).

Just like the name the place is majestic. The architecture and decor is grand. Expensive. Visit only if you are at leisure as it gets crowded and you have to wait for a table. Its not one of the top things to do. Worth only if you have the time else skip. And yes, it is expensive.

We were lucky enough to enter without queuing. We later saw the amount of people trying to get in. It would have made us look for another place.
It's a beautiful and interesting place to visit. Delicious food although highly priced. Be ready to empty your wallet and expect the color to drain from your face when the bill comes. Nevertheless a good time to have.

Friendly staff, good service. Stopped here for a cheese cake and a chocolate cake and both were very good. Some waiting time to get in. Coffee and treats are not the cheapest in town but the venue itself is worthwhile.

Professional staff, fancy looking place (when you get asked, go inside, it looks nicer than being outside). The coffee is alright but I've had much better in places that don't even specialize in coffee. I believe it's overpriced (~3x from what I've seen in other places in Porto) and a bit of a tourist trap I fell into.

This place looks super fancy and is beautiful. We went because we read that JK Rowling used to come here. Our large group just made it there around 1015 , when they closed at 11. They were happy to serve us (although kitchen was closed- so just drinks and desserts). The prices were outrageous. I ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream and the cost was €7. It was good, but not 7 euros good. The rest of the group though everything was very delicious. Our bill was something like $88. Good experience... Once.

Amazing place. 5-star service. The food was brilliant. Everyone recommends this place for a coffee and then complain because it is expensive. Of course it's going to be expensive;you are at a fancy restaurant so it's only reasonable to pay a lot for coffee. Try the food here and you will definitely understand what good value for money is in this place.

So yes Majestic Cafe. Mostly people are mad about it but for me it was just cafe. Quite pricey but service is very good, interior is rich and elegant, plus of course connections to Harry Potter, or rather author of this book. Mind you might wait in line sometimes to get inside.

There was a consistent line of 10 people waiting to get in on a Saturday night and the place was full, so I said to myself "self, let's do this. If people are willing to wait to get in this place, it should be good." It turned out to be a "meh". Nice place to eat, cool interior and friendly staff. However, I didn't see or ear anything that really set it apart from anything else in Porto. Fairly expensive.

Very good service and food. A little pricey but they can be, as they get extremely busy. Highly recommended and must see for tourists!

Oh for the love of architecture and design...this cafe is gorgeous. And oh my word the hot cocoa ...no words. Try the majestic style french toast...finger licking! A bit on the pricey side. Good service. Friendly Staff. Worth a visit. Get there early or you may have to stand in line for a while.

Prices are $$$$, the service is nothing special, the dressing is just a joke from old times, since, no one could care less to maintain that outfit in proper order. The name badges a disgrace. The floor manager, I can understand he was new, but a bit lost, on his job. The general impression I had is that we pay $$$$$$$$$ and they get paid $ that is why they don't care for customer.
The space, is well maintained and the decoration is a must see. but it all stops there, if service does not improve, there is no need to support such a place.
Felt my money was not appreciated there. Felt myself as an object. Felt that all interaction was like, why did you even came here, don't you know what to ask yet? how do you dare to ask me questions about the menu, can't you read. Did this two persons that came to our table say this? no, but the attitude was this one, the expression on the face from the lady, was like, can you please move on, I have other business to attend. We all felt this, but because I was with a group of people that wanted to have the experience we did not go away, and tell other to avoid this place and spend their money here. Not a place to recommend for service. I've been on other very high interesting and public places, were the service was great, even with full packed house. Just go in, check the space, use their toilet if you can, and run away before you are baffled by their unwelcoming service and feeling.
