- PVC Bows?
Yes, PVC pipes, or Polyvinyl chloride pipes to be more precise, is the main material used in all the bows produced by AMIEIRO. The same pipes you probably have running around your house walls.

- What? Why?
This polymer makes something possible that is hard to find on other more traditional bows made out of wood or fiber glass: low prices. With PVC you get a product at a fraction of the price comparing with other types of traditional bows without loosing performance, power or speed.

- But do they work? Are they "strong" enough?
I get this question a lot, and the example I usually give is that you can either get a bow appropriate for a child's first experience with target shooting to something heavy enough for an adult to use in large game hunting. PVC is this amazing material that makes it possible to have both these extreme examples and everything in between.

- And are they safe and durable?
PVC or not, bows are potentially lethal weapons, and should always be used with full attention and safety at ALL TIMES, no exception.
As for the bows themselves, from all the ones I made I never had any kind malfunction. Are they infallible? Of course not! Any type of product like this, handmade or not can fail. What is mainly documented with PVC bows failing is the "collapse" of one of the limbs, where it bends past its point, but this happens mostly if misused. If you follow the instructions packaged with every purchase, you'll have a lasting and hassle free experience.
