  Hotel was lovely. Very modern and well kept. I would imagine all of the rooms that the hotel manages are along the same lines. You'll have to be careful as there are privately owned rooms that could have varying states of upkeep. I purchased through Priceline and got a room that was privately owned, but ended up being nice enough for our needs. I imagine that if you purchase directly with the hotel, you may get one of their rooms, but you may get a privately owned one if you go through a third party.

  Great place to stay. Cost includes parking, gym, full breakfast, beach towel and chair. Bar, pool, jacuzzi, beach and food mart on site. Great bartender. Bus to Old San Juan and other businessses including fast food eateries are within walking distance. Awesome!

  The place is still recovering from hurricane Maria. But you only notice on the hallways, pool and other common areas. The lobby, bar, rooms are normal. Rooms are comfortable, clean. Parking available. Attentive service.

  I've owned my timeshare since 1987. It's convenient to SJU airport and a number of beautiful beaches, golf courses, restaurants, casinos, and bars. It's finishing up a total renovation of all rooms and facilities.

  A lot of renovation work is taking place. The exterior facilties are being worked quickly. Room renovations do not appear to be proceeding as fast. When complete, ESJ will be a class hotel.

  Always love it here. People are great and lots to do if you want or fantastic to relax. The food is very good.

  Stayed here all three times I've been to Puerto Rico. Got a great gaming lounge as well as pool table areas near the lobby. Got a few computers in the lobby too. Right on the beach. Also a decent size weight room. Restaurant to the right of the front desk, decent food choices. Good size pool and hot tub. Snuck into it with my sister at 10pm back back in the day. Security guard that caught us back then was cool and let us skin for an extra 5 minutes.

  Great resort right on the beach in San Juan away from traffic and noise. Staff is always warm, friendly and accommodating. Currently through renovations and expansion. Look forward to going back next year.

  D U M P ... unfortunately had to stay at this property post Maria. Room smelled like wet dogs and mildew. Hallway carpet felt like you’re walking on wet grass. Generator power to common areas. No power in rooms. Thankful for a roof and running water but they wanted full price for everything (except parking was free). They also wanted full tourist room rate upon checkout ...but... compromised at $129/night + tax. Several staff members very helpful and nice. Others inattentive and outright hostile.

  Poor management communication. Surrounding hotels have power but ESJ remains without electricity and hot water. This is my 12th day without lights in my room.

  We where lucky because we got stuck in ESJ hotel during the storm. I say i was lucky because the management and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was safe and taken care off before, during and after the storm. Many of the staff members had not heard from their families or how their properties fared after the storm yet they where (most of them) working non stop to ensure that the guests where comfortable even when the circumstances where less than desirable. I am back home but my heart goes out to them because i know what is happening there is unprecedented and hard to deal with. I can't thank them enough for keeping me and my family safe during our stay. From room 974 with love.

  The reason I fell in love with Puerto Rico in the first place! I love this place, the location is ideal, the views are amazing, the staff is courteous and we have so many friends there.. So happy that Mr Sinclair has started updating the interior and exterior of the building.. Looking forward to being there in November. 😊😎❤❤❤

  The room was clean and spacious. The air conditioner was loud. Free breakfast was good and night entertainment was nice. Beautiful views of the beach and pool

  Had an awesome time at my stay here. The beach is beautiful, the lobby has entertainment going on nearly every night, and the staff is very nice! Hector at the breakfast buffet was always there to greet us in a friendly manner.
