Great atmosphere. Lovely decor. Decently priced. Our service was subpar. Waiter wasn't as attentive to our wedding group of 10 compared to other places around the area. Wait for food was long and when it did arrive, everyone's meals were room temperature. Our server didn't check with us only but once the whole time and then check came, we found gratuity was included in the bill. Not to mention the roach that waited on the wall when we arrived, and we mentioned to the staff and no one battled an eye. Probably won't return

We ate here as a part of a tour. The food was excellent. It was a very unique local experience. I would highly recommend finding your way here and enjoying a good meal. Make reservations especially for large groups as they are very busy.

Food (lunch) was very good & reasonable prices. The only negative thing was the attitude of our server, he acted like he would rather be somewhere else, but other than that I'd go back.

Awesome awesome food! Incredibly attentive and friendly service, I definitely recommend stopping by if in the area. The seasoning is very strong but good, not overdone at all.

My girlfriend and I left our luggage and ate here after our cruise. The luggage storage was very convenient for the restaurant to do for us. We left it for 5 hours and had no problems. We also ate dinner here and it was exceptional. The food was great and a very good price. Everyone here was very nice. Overall a great place!

I had the mofongo shrimp and lobster cassava and it was divine. Love the setting!! Great eats in the heart of Old San Juan. Friendly staff. Inside or patio dining. You cannot go wrong here. Worth every bite. My only regret: I didn't take a pic of my plate. However, when it was brought to my table, the diners at opposite table all got up to ask what I'd ordered. Presentation is everything!! Breakfast and sandwiches served upstairs until 3:30...I think. Afterwards, enjoy the evening on the ground floor.

This is one place we make sure we visit every time we are in SAN JUAN. Our first visit was with our Dad. So we go back each time as he loved there. Always good food and drinks. Great services

Home of the original pina colada, they have not improved much on the recipe - it's as good as most you'll find in Puerto Rico. Service, while good, was very slow. The food was good with reasonable portion sizes once we received it. My wife is from Puerto Rico, so we tend to venture out for better local food, but for those just visiting, it's a good compromise of catering to tourists with local fare.

Good place for dinner, few detracting factors

We enjoyed dinner however we had high hopes that the salsa was going to be awesome, it turned out to be the worst we ever tasted. The overwhelming pickle taste was so strong!! And I mean huge amounts of pickles!!! Service was good, not that reasonably priced quite expensive. No avocado for my fajitas very little setup for my dinner for the price. But the pinacolada was tasty. Wish I could give three and half Stars.

This restaurant was excellent! The food was outstanding and you got large servings. They're was a bit of a wait but it was absolutely worth it. The prices are moderate.

Expensive, slow (30 mins to get in,40 mins to get our food served) and very touristic. The piña colada thing is nothing special. Avoid.

We stopped by Barrachina whilst on a Royal Carribbean cruise in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. The famous Pina Colada from this restaurant was delicious and the fajitas tasted amazing. The bar staff were friendly and the restaurant/bar has WiFi. Highly recommended if you visit Old San Juan.

They're still open for business post Maria. Food was great, and they had numerous reasonable priced options. Service was friendly too. Located in a beautiful historic Old San Juan building.

Very spacious with beautiful Art Collection while relaxing in the Upper Level, my favorite corner. In first Level there is a Bar were Piña Colada Title emerged as you may see in Logo outdoor and very good International Cousine. Now with Huracane Maria having left Old San Juan Residents without electricity ,the second floor have become favorite for we have privilege of TV International News , WiFI, charge our phones and having warm dishes at very good prices. One more reason why we love Old San Juan!

The Birthplace of the Piná Colada. Biggest shrimp I've ever been served in a shrimp cocktail, and the sweetest waitstaff. I think out of six people at our table we had 3-4 Piná Coladas a peice! It was soooo hot, and these frozen treats are NOT to be missed!!!!

One of our must stops each and every year. The food is great, with portions that are very filling. Our waiter Enos took care of us from beginning to end and made sure everything was just right. Highly recommended. Don't forget to try the piña colada, it is the birthplace after all.
