The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) is one of the oldest all-discipline honor societies in the world. It derives its name from the Greek words Philosophía Krateítõ Phõtôn, "Let the love of learning rule humanity,” the honor society's motto.
Its mission is to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and engage the community of scholars in service to others.
Through its sole chapter in the Philippines and in Asia, the honor society has been inducting generations of Filipino academics, politicians, national scientists and artists since its founding in 1933. The first four Presidents of the University of the Philippines were members of the chapter's founding batch.
