The opulence during the Spanish times showed the difference between the very rich and the poor Indios.
This place offer history of Elpidio Quirino the 6th President of the Philippines
One of the better museums in vigan. Good visuals and also good history displays. Enjoyed it.
Very historic preservation of the home. Tour guide was very knowledgeable of the property. 100 Pesos entrance fee, worth the expense.
Its good and non-government and non-profit museum. But you need to pay 100 per head, 40 if your a student (just bring your student I.D.) this includes tour guide.(the payment is for the maintenance of the museum. You'll learn a lot and be mesmerize by the beauty of the old mansion.
if you're interested in ancestral houses and vintage items, then this place is for you. reg fee is 100 and you'll be given an information aid. you may opt to join the guided tour for free or you can just freely go around the place. :)
The only museum around that has a tour guide who explains the history of Vigan and of the place itself
Complete the day visit at Vigan City with the museum tour. This used to be the house of the wealthy family of late Pres. Quirino's wife. The entrance fee is 50 pesos for the guided tour. It tour showed how the Syquia family lived in this so called bahay na bato.
The Syquia Mansion on Quirino Blvd was recently turned into a museum filled with old furniture and exhibits dedicated to the life of Vigan native Elpidio Quirino.
Well preserved and peaceful house with nice furniture and pictures with a small room arranged as museum
Entrance fee of Php 50.00 per person. There is tour guide, but we explored the house on our own.
Entrance with fee, tour guide provided in the museum. Antiques are well preserved. Place is well maintained. I can imagine this as a setting of a horror movie.
Nice place to see how the provincial elite used to live. Lots of traditional Filipino wooden furniture, old paintings, and interior colonial architecture. If you can find the caretaker named Rusty, ask him to tell you stories of the benevolent ghosts that inhabit the house. :)
