signs are not as well distributed and are not as obviously seen. You can only park while you have business here. You can't leave your car to park here even if you've shopped or dined here. You'll be clamped and fined 2,000 php. Plus the process is tedious and took a long time before it got resolved.
Another idiotic management policy. While most encourage bringing your own grocery bags, this establishment makes it a hassle to do so. So imagine lining up in those ridiculously long queues and ask the person behind you to pls push your cart forward for you because you have to leave the line just to get your ecobags at the customer service desk. OR just keep buying their stupid ecobags everytime you visit.
We were wrongfully clamped and fined Php 2,000 even though we just had grocery for more than an hour because of long queue in the cashier. We plead our case with the guards but they didn't even consider our case and did not admit to their mistake. Customer service is a trash too, they did not listen to our explanation they just followed the guards.
WORST GROCERY STORE!!! You always have to que for a long line! Never accepts credit card purchases below 200php. Lots of cashiers but only few are open. Come on it’s 2024 and your store is like an old school 1960’s!
The staff are not well trained. PC is alwaye over staffed and yet were unable or unwilling to assist customers.
Whenever a merchandiser was asked to locate an item, the common answer was “The item is out of stock.”. However, if you look harder, you’ll find the item you’re searching for.
The counter baggers are not distribute. One counter have 2-3 baggers working together while the counter next to it has none. Those bagg are flocking at counters where customers are potentially going to give them a big tip but purposely ignore those customers who they are familiar with, those who don’t give tips.
This issues were reported to the on floor supervisors but no improvement of service was done. Maybe the owners of PC doesn’t know of doesn’t care!
Their supermarket doesn’t look as “sleek” as the supermarkets of SM Robinsons, or Unimart, but it’s good enough for anyone’s needs. Prices here are generally higher than at the bigger supermarkets. My estimate is that it’s about 20% more expensive to do your groceries here. Seafood can be 50% more expensive here. Shrimps prices, in particular, is twice as much as at SM Supermarket.
The good thing about Pioneer Center better is that their parking is free!
As for other establishments, there are several decent restaurants here, including:
1. Mad Mark’s
2. Jollibee
3. Thai Dara
4. French Baker
5. So Mot (Vietnamese)
6. Lapid’s Chicharon
7. Chooks To Go
8. HongKong Noodles
9. Razon’s (Halo-Halo and Palabok)
10. Tapsiness (tapsilog restaurant)
There’s also a Starbucks and Chatime here, as well as a barber shop.
Inside the main building they have:
1. Watson’s
2. The Generic Pharmacy
3. Shoe and bag repair shop
4. Watch repair shop
5. Bayad Center
6. Small Hardware store
7. Potato Corner
8. Red Ribbon kiosk
9. Various food stalls
10. A couple of clothing kiosks
For your banking needs they have BPI and BDO branches with ATMs.
This grocery store is a game-changer! Living in Mandaluyong for years, I've never seen a better spot besides SM Light. Tons of options, crazy affordable, and it's like Robinson's Forum and SM Light combined. They even have a shelf for sweet deals! Heads up, it might not just be as well maintained as SM and Robinsons’s.
For all the peeps around Greenfield District and Kapitolyo, this is THE go-to grocery store 👌🏻
Parking can get really full here but a bit of wait would land you a spot in no time so don't fret if you arrive at a rather very busy time of day or night.
The Pioneer Center Supermarket is known for budget-friendly groceery trips. I don't know how or why but I have shopped here at least a couple of times and yes, it is true! I "felt" it in my wallet and was quite amazed at that felt difference that I had to mention it to the cashier. She smiled and agreed, of course. But she justified it and even swear that celebrities actually shop.there. The reviews aren't 5 stars, though, upon checking. Some items can be perceived as "real cheap" but I hope none of their consumables and perishables are beyond "expiry" dates.
The range of restaurants and services in the area / center complement the supermarket and a fave is SIAM THAI, which, unfortunately, was already closed when we arrived. Their operating hours must be edited as it said they are to close by midnight on a Saturday but instead, just 10PM.
There are lots of imported items you wouldn't normally find in other supermarkets. (Although I wish they stock up on Pho mix and Kecap Manis again.)
Great place to have for grocery. Most price of the items are competitive and lower than other supermarkets. Good thing is that parking is free. Since it's free, expect full parking during lunch times and weekends. Items and products are almost available. Food carts, tiangges and other fast food available inside and outside.
Great choice to pick from.. almost everything from groceries to restaurants and eateries
Has quite a variety of basic goods at very competitive prices. However vegetables are way too expensive!
Inefficient cashiers and bagging system. You can't pay with card in their express lanes. They force you to use bulky old boxes even if your items can fit in a paper bag. Filthy hallways that always seem to be perpetually under renovation. Some good prices on items, but also some overpriced ones. Can get pretty crowded even off hours because of the inefficient queues.
Filled with lots of goods, fairly priced items, and parking is free. Food stalls and restaurants are available, too.
nice and practical place. prices are cheaper and great variety.
Value for money grocery items lots of food option...transpo might be a concern and parking as well.
Good choices, good prices. Adjacent establishments to complete your errands. Only thing lacking is a customer loyalty program for perks.
Has a wide variety of selection. From local to imported brands at a much cheaper price when compared to established supermarkets.
This is where I get my groceries. Prices are competitive and free parking.
It may look old but it surprisingly has a great selection of local and imported goods.
