Was a great place for Americans cuz they have ,wifi ,hot showers AC ,and hot breakfast! Just not a five star building that's all
My family and I checked in at 5pm. Our rooms were not ready and prepared. If you need amenities like shampoo, soap, and towels you would have to ask. Service was not good and lunch is not included. When my family and I had breakfast there were limited options. So before booking all advertisements are false! We were referred by Filipino tourism and paid a reservation fee of 50%. I would give no stars and its not letting me.
I rarely give low-star reviews. This is one of them. Long story short, the room they gave us was disorderly and unclean. Clean on the outside, dirty on the inside. I wouldn't recommend this place to spend a night.
My expectations for this place was low to begin with. Clean bed, pillows, room, and most importantly a clean bathroom. The bed and room was just ok. The bathroom, dirty. The floor and floor mat was wet. The bathroom looked like it hasn't been cleaned for a long time. The toilet didn't flush enough. The roll of toilet paper was almost empty. There were also no towels in the room.
I had to request so many things from the front desk just to make my stay more comfortable. There's no phones in the rooms so I had to go to the front desk over and over to make my requests. The room they gave me was on the 3rd floor which only made things worse. If I haven't done or requested for anything, my stay here would have been far worse. It's just so unpleasant that I had to go through all of that. A feeling you don't want to have when on vacation.
Other cons are.. no wifi in the room. There's wifi detectable there but they don't give you the access. I asked but they gave me a different wifi and password. Heater was working but they left it unplugged. Practically useless though because the water from the shower head was so weak. Aircon was working but it made so much noise. You have a CRT TV and it only has 2-3 local channels. There's a pool but the water and pool walls looked dirty.
The only pro i saw here though and the factor that made me give this a 2-star is the fact that the staff provided my requests.
I stayed in 209. Stay away from that room as well as this hotel. Check the photos.
Quite Okay. But not so satisfying.
For the price, rooms aren't too bad and there is a good-size pool. But they need to fix their booking system with Agoda and ensure they dont double book. Their dining area also can't handle the number of guests on a 100% occupancy rate.
The look and feel is like a vacation home. So cozy inside. You should try their restaurant as they serve sumptuous dishes such as Alaminos bangus and Alaminos longganisa lasagna.
Rooms are not well maintained, our bathroom had a DEAD LIZARD by the shower, wtf. Food servings are so small that the one only included three bites. There is really nothing to expect in hotels around this area.
Stay Away
Islandia Hotel, Alaminos, 100 Islands. Disgusting
Staying at this hotel was one of my WORST vacation experiences.
*Bed sheets stained with dried blood
*Lumpy pillows stuffed with rags
*A FREE breakfast of 1/2 an egg, and dry rice
*Bring your own soap - their soap is too small to use and smells bad
*Shampoo was 1/2 of used, leftover tube.
*Restaurant hot and uncomfortable - TOO CHEAP TO TURN ON AIRCON
*Big reason for choosing this hotel - the swimming pool
But the swimming pool was CLOSED
Definitely worth visiting the100 Islands they are beautiful and a great spot to vacation… - but stay away from Islandia Hotel.
Electricity and water was out by 5am and we were not informed about it. We were still charged the full amount even if we were not able to fully enjoy the "hotel". The room was cramped and outdated. Sheets weren't clean. Charging the full amount to the guests without them getting the service they should get is like stealing. So yes? We're not coming back. This place just sucks big time. Service and place is big failure.
