In 1990, some officers of HANDICAPPED'S ANCHOR IS CHRIST, INC. OF CEBU (HACI CEBU) came over Cagayan de Oro City and met a core group of disabled persons. Later, we also organized HACI d ORO AND had our oath taking in 1990 with all the HACI CEBU OFFICERS and they gave us a seed money of Php.10,000.00. Since then HACI D ORO became active in the disabilitiy movement. We have a regular weekly radio program at RMN-DXCC every sunday called, "Kamusta Ka Igsoon?", we advocate for the implementation of RA 7277 and BP 344. We initiated Rehabilitiation For Indigent Disabled Kids Thru KAMPI AND PTU of Denmark as the funding agency. We also provide capital assistance for livelihood the our members and parents of kids with disabilities. We implement posting of access stickers on public utility vehicles in coordination with LTO and RTA. We are member of the Regional Development Council, Provincial Development Council, PHILSPADA, AKAP PINOY, Associate Member Of The Asia Pacific Center On Disability, Member of KAMPI and DPI. We manage the two toilets at the main park of the city and be opening a metal/iron and carpentry shop come MAY 2006. Our new program to implement is the independent living program/center here in Mindanao.

In the year 2014, we were awarded Php120,000.00 from the BUB project of our local government. This has led us to build a small livelihood program for the members of PWDs.Our women members had came up into lots of stuffs to sell and ern an income. Currently, We promote our up-cycle and beads products more because it is in high demand. Unfortunately, the organization needs more funds to be able to supply the demand. We are trying our best to provide the highest quality in our products but we lack funds. As of this moment, we cater only small orders but we are hoping soon we can cater large orders if we can find enough fund.
