Crisan Pension House - Batanes

On October 14, 2003, the corner stones of a two story bldg. were laid in one of the prime lots along Dita Street, Brgy. Kayhuvukan, Basco, Batanes. It is a perfect place for business as it is located right in the middle of the capital town, thus, CMJ Shop & Snack a mini grocery was established on June 8, 2008, occupying half of the ground floor.

The second floor was built slowly and steadily from the income of CMJ Shop & Snack, “The Mother Goose that Lays The Golden Eggs”, finally, the second floor was completed in December 2013. Half of the second floor was originally intended to accommodate relatives and friends who do not have a place to stay elsewhere, while in Basco for whatever reason.

The other half is for the family to occupy, so that CMJ Shop & Snack can occupy the entire ground floor, since it is the bread and butter of the family, but circumstances dictated otherwise. In the first week of January 2014, a lodge owner came and inquired if we have an extra room for tourist, then a tour guide also came and asked if we could accommodate his tourists and there were ten of them, who will be coming on the 18th of January, according to the guide.

Learning that there is shortage of accommodation in Basco, we decided to open the entire second floor for accommodation needs not only of our relatives and friends, but also of tourists. Crisan Lodge was born on January 18, 2014, with its first set of guests, ten tourist who dreamed of coming to Batanes to have fun.

Crisan Lodge is barely 2 months old, and she is now blessed with 95 guests who stayed with her on varying length of time, from one day to five days, Crisan Lodge is also blessed with some prominent and inspiring people as her guest, Ms. Hazel Ramos, Asst. Dean, College of International Tourism and Hospitality Mgt., Lyceum of the Philippines, Mr. Jovel M. Cipriano, President & CEO, Pinoy Unlimited, Inc., and the very beautiful, Miss Cloie Concepcion, Talent of Viva Films with her team from ABS CBN Global, to name a few, Crisan Lodge will forever be grateful to this people! Indeed! It is even more fun to stay with Crisan Lodge!
