Stay: Felt a bit overpriced. The place and the view is nice but not too well maintained for 25k a night. The AC had a hard time cooling the room during noon. Some furnitures were broken, like the table outside.

Wifi was available but with very weqk almost no internet signal at all. Mobile signal is at its weakest as well.

The beach was a hike away. There was no easy way to go to the beach. Please be prepared for a 5-15 minute hike to the beach front.
During sunset, we were pestered by gamugamo. Thousands and thousands of them.

    Positives:
Water from the pool was clean and clear.
    They served overwhelming food.
    Staff is always available.
Claus the owner checked in with guests.

    beautiful place.
sucks to get there. no paved roads most of the way from the highway.
use your high 4x4s and avoid sedans if possible.

Place was good, but be wary of flying termites (gamu gamo) during the rainy season.

Very nice place to relax and spend quiet time with the family. Very friendly staff. Steep hill from the beach, so prepare to burn some calories.

View from our room is great. The room itself is beautiful but AC can't get the room cold enough. Water pressure on showers is a little low at the 2nd floor

The road leading to the resort is quite narrow. Be prepared for long drive. Mini bus can navigate through just fine except those regular buses unless your driver is a pro!

Infinity pool is just 4ft deep and a little small, gets crowded easily when guests decided to swim altogether

The TREK to the beach is not for the faint hearted. I reckon that's around 500m+ going down. And of course, going back to the resort is the hardest part.

The beach water is calm and good for snorkeling. It's just the way to the beach is a little struggle especially for the elderly and not so physically fit.

Food is good. I like their coffee!

Owner is accommodating, whom I reckon is German.

If you are just after taking photos, then this place is good for you.

The place is quite far but definitely worth it. We were able to stay at Sunrise villa with private pool and jacuzzi and Sunrise Dorm Type.. Both rooms were worth the money.. especially the Sunrise Villa, perfect for big family and those who would like to unwind with great scenery of the beach! As for the meal, you will have to inform them ahead of time and since it is quite far/secluded, it is better to just eat there so less hassle. Quite pricey but the meals were good and delicious.. Also, the staff were kind and easy to deal with., Would definitely love to go back!
Another thing. con (if you like to swim by the beach), it is not good for swimming specially on low tide as there were marine life/corals so better not to disturb it..

This place gives you a nice view of the open sea. Higly Instagrammable place :-) , though going here would be tough for cars since there are parts of unfinished road going to the resort

The place is great so was the food. Though only a bit inaccessible. It is a long drive from the highway. But overall, it was a great place to unwind and there is an unspoiled beach nearby.

If you're after that much-needed and well-deserved R&R, then Casa Amara is the place for you. Every corner of this place will take your breath away. From the entrance leading to the main dining area (overlooking the sea), to the infinity pool and the perfectly situated rooms that all face the sea. The owner, Mr. Klaus has also been very gracious and is very hands-on in assisting the guests. And the customer service of all the staff is truly commendable. The food - oh, the sumptuous foodthat's a different story in itself! It was worth every peso that we paid for!

Toilet in our room won't flush. Just imagine when my roommate found out too late. Had to stay outside a while while they attempted to fix. Then they told me not to use the toilet anymore for the rest of our stay. Luckily we were just staying overnight. Left very early the next day before nature called.
