This place is a bit wide but you can opt to ride a shuttle amounting 50 pesos. They’ll tour you in the open field with different kinds of animals running freely. You can also see a museum on topmost part of Baluarte.
The road was a pleasant experience. Parking is in good system even its not totally concreted. A lot of souvenir shops are available in proper location.
This place has donations only and no entrance fee. Mini Zoo includes several species of birds like peacock and swan among others. Tiger and Zebras as well as Deer. The Safari Gallery which is the museum is on top of the hill which will take fairly 15-20 min walk depending on your pace or you can ride the free Safari Style Shuttle. Inside the gallery are Mounts of different Animals like on the photos I've taken.
It was amazing experience to see rare animals (though mounts) but still in flesh. Your kids will surely enjoy this (or not) but you will be in awe after visiting the Gallery.
If you choose to self-explore the zoo, it's for free. But they also offer tour guide services. However, try not to raise your expectations too high if you chose to avail their service as the rates I will provide below are exclusive of some zoo activities, "star" animal photo ops and photo printouts.
P600.00 for 6 persons inclusive of shuttle service*
P1,000.00 for 12 persons inclusive of shuttle service*
*as of January 2018
Aside from the alive animals, you can also see preserved ones at the Safari Gallery which is on top of the property.
The zoo can be free is you wish to walk around and the price of a ride around the grounds is minimal. I would caution against visiting during lunch hour as all of the guides for the private tours are at lunch. Additionally, the attendants for the pony rides and other such attractions are also off for lunch at this time. There is generally a line and the cashier seems more interested in moving the line along than making the visitors happy. All in all it was a pleasant visit.
Its funtional as a zoo outdoors beautiful ground the indoors is a different story if you love animals the irony of it all it has an indoor museum of animal heads trophies.the absolute horror makes no sense what so ever.why???
Feels like you are in a modern Safari. Don't miss out Gov. Chavits Singson's Throphy catch at his Safari Gallery.. and of course there's live Tiger, Zebras, Camels, Llamas and the oldest Lion since Baluarte started ..
I found this zoo to be so bizarre. Most of the animals seems weak and not being well taken care off. Plus there are taxidermy exhibition top of the hills showcasing trophy animals hunted by the owner. It is very terrible and inhumane condition for the animals to live in. Someone should report this to the animals rights organisation
This "zoo" needs to spend a lot more time caring for its animals. Its basically a few animals in cages and a "museum" which is a load of stuffed animals that were shot by the owner. With photos of him shooting the animals over the walls.
For my second time visit, still animals are not really well taken care of. But good job for the big improvement on your animal museum. Well ventilated and those preserved animals are well cleaned. Hopefully they will give attention to their live animals.
It's a good educational place to identify animals. The fact that it's free to the public is great but just don't expect A1 facilities.
Best place for family, friends, kids and kids at heart. Animals of the jungle are seen here and been taken care of, unlike in manila zoo. Plus there also a fun and enjoy animal show. So far the best Zoo in the whole Philippines.
This place can be explored for FREE! (By foot) Different animals can be seen here, like tiger, zebra, camel, ostrich and many others. If you're a thrill taker, you can also touch the tiger with a fee of course, or participate with the FREE animal show.
One of the better zoos in the country. A well maintained zoo with well-fed animals. At the Safari Gallery, there's a collection of stuffed animals. Finished my tour in an hour.
If you are a fan of stuffed exotic animals then this is your place although seeing all this endangered species hanging on the wall seemed a bit wrong nowadays but what can you do? There's enclosures for live animals too and tours. It's a private zoo open to public, just like going on safari but not killing anything....to my knowledge 🤔
