Pricy, terrible room, terrible staff. This resort need a major renovation. You guys dont deserve this kind of resort. You may want to skip this resort and look for better resorts in La Union.
This used to be a very popular resorts many years ago. The rooms are cottage type. There is a swimming pool, the resraurant offers good foods and a view of china sea.
Recently years the is a change of sea level and currents and the beach front of this area is affected. Gone are the beach walking area. The water level raises and water reach the wall boundary wall of the resort. Not very safe for swimming, specially for kids.
Although there is a swimming pool here and big open area with good views.
The cottage needs a little upgrading
Terrible rooms and service. To note one experience - there's an additonal 10% to food when ordered to your room, doesn't end there. Waitress forgot an item in orders so we had to add, which eventually incurred another 10% additional charge. Rip off.
Rooms need a lot od renovationand cleaning as well. So filthy.
Did not get a room but had dinner for 4 people. Three ordered butterfly shrimp but got boiled shrimp in the shell. My order was Osso Bucco. Did not get to the table until my guests were already finished, and the food was sub-standard with a meager portion. A painful experience for P2200!
Pricey but it's worth it ^^
Standard room has a hot and cold shower, cabled tv, closet, complimentary toiletries like soap and towels for two and there's a complimentary breakfast for two.
Clean and has a really good ambience.
Beachfront is no that good though.. but...
It's really a good deal^^.
magical sunsets, thunderstorm lightshows , great food, large portions, expansive grounds but not too well maintained cottages.
Great pool and good food selection. VIP rooms was clean and modern but the family cottage needs some TLC,
I have to give one star which is more than this Resort deserves. The entire Resort needs a major renovation, the rooms are very run down. We stayed in what they called a VIP room but it lacks a lot, the paint is peeling everywhere, the toilet seat was broken, the shower head was broken. When we first arrived the fridge in our room was full of water and ants. There was a lot of ants in the room, the retaining wall at the back of the Resort is a hazard and falling. I understand that we have to expect some degree of deterioration but a VIP room should be just that, when all of the guests pay some of that money is supposed to go back into the Resort as renovations are needed. I would not recommend this resort to anyone, if you want a good Resort that is in the same area at a reasonable price I would recommend Sunset Bay Resort in San Fernando.
Lovely staff. Safe place, perfect place to relax
This place is tired! Paint peeling in the room, electric socket broken. Worst of all no windows just shutters and torn fly screens so no protection from mosquitos. The pool was pleasant but lots of cracked tiles etc and the 'beach' all but gone. The waterfront is really just a concrete wall with a very small amount of sand left. No strolls along the beach here! The restaurant was expensive too. All in all a long way from the best places I've stayed in.
Bali Hai is a short walk from China Sea and makes a change for dinner on some evenings. On Friday and Saturday there are buffet style barbeques Friday Western, and Saturday Mongolian. Basically you choose the things you want mix them together and they cook it for you! There is a pretty good music duo, aided by some of the local ex-pats who actually are quite good! and they add something fun to the evening. The hotel has a nice pool and is in the same category as China sea in that the beach has washed away in the main. However you can still get to the beach and walk if the tide is low.
This resort is just by the beach and it has a nice swimming pool, great service and awesome food! You can choose from Native dishes and American Dishes and some other international cuisine.
