Great transit lodge, self contained, spacious
Good hide out. Close to the main road and proximity to Airport is less than 5mins drive.
When my flight was changed without my knowledge and I missed a connection to Alotau, Air PNG made arrangements for me and another couple passengers into this hotel. This is a very small hotel and most occupants are locals. The rooms are small but serviceable. This was my first time in PNG and the other hotel I had also had security. Not much to do but the owner and staff are trying to build it up. Big shout-out to Henry, the cook. Food was delicious and portions were huge. Just an FYI, in local restaurants, there is no menu, just the meal. You get what you get, but the lamb steak w/chips (fries), vegetable fried rice and chicken and fresh eggs/toast/chipped beef and beef sausage breakfast were all delicious. Consider comparable to a Motel 6 in a big city.
