This is known as the best Asian restaurant in Port Moresby. Always a good meal. Eat inside if the wind is blowing from the wrong direction.
Shocking service. There was a private function, so a number of people sat along the walkway. I ordered a Hawaian pizza. After almost 1 hour, the waiter informs me there's no Hawaian pizza, and requests a fresh order. We left.
The food was lovely and tasty. Chinese cusine is my favorite. The servings were abit small than I anticipated. The let down on Thursday night was the aircon which was leaking. Hope it has been replaced. The road works was also a hassle
Food is abit pricy and portions can be small.overall this is a decent restaurant with good food and even better environment
We've eaten at Asia aromas twice, the food is excellent and the service is good. Prices are not bad at all. You can also sit at a table on the Pier. Tonight there were dolphins playing in the harbor and a huge cruise ship that was docked left the port. Interesting atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Great place to eat with a view but unfortunately poor service. Went in at 11:45 am and got served at about 2:18 pm despite the fact we had gone in before the other customers and despite the fact we had reminded the head concierge we were waiting...
Good eatery and nice atmosphere by the sea
Revived in its new location at Harbour Side. Diners won't be let down by this superb location. Unlike some of the other venues, Asia Aroma didn't utilise the stunning harbor views, with its dinners essentially encapsulated in its appropriately Chinese themed interior. Asia Aroma's divides the local dining set. Its either loved or avoided. Its best compared to western Asian, with almost nothing on the menu, or served that you would find in Asia. That said, as far as typical western Asian restaurants Asia Aroma's is quite good. My stomach seems to never be able to keep their food down, that said many of my family and friends have no issues. If you're a new resident to POM you will eat here eventually, if you're passing through i'd recommend many other venues that serve more authentic Asian cuisine, which despite being a relatively small capital POM is spoilt for its number of scattered Malaysian, Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, and provincial Chinese venues. Including yum cha!
A great place to eat. Good variety of Asian Cuisine
Humble, kind n loving guy that always gives service to every citizens of PNG
I love Asia Aroma Restaurant cos from it I experienced a lot of good things n bad things but I never give up on those who says bad things about me..
nice place. nice food ,nice moment
Great food, friendly staff, child friendly
Fantastic place to eat. The food is really great and staff are friendly.
Consistent, predictable fare, attentive staff, lovely clay pot dishes especially veggies and tom yum soups!
Good food, romantic place. Helpful waiter
The new Asia Aroma is in the swanky new neighborhood of Harbourside
With distinctive red lights and fancy shades - it sure stands out in the swathe of eateries. The menu is good, and the presentation is good as well.
The food quality is definitely good. I would recommend a second visit anyday.
Cons :
I have found the staff to be snobbish on some occasions.
I have also found that delivery has been very slow. (I once asked for veg spring rolls for my colleague , and I finished my entire conversation with my colleague , got my food, and 2 beers , after which the spring roll comes in , much to my embarrassment)
Priced slightly on the costlier side, but they match it with the decor/ambience and food quality. Good for semi-informal get together with business friends.
Service needs improvement. Food quality was okay.
Service is good. Food very good. Made to feel welcome.
Excellent place to enjoy Asian food
i love the food 😍
Perhaps my second favorite restaurant in Port Moresby. Staff always so nice to me. Good atmosphere. I wish them a smooth transition to their next location. Will be patron for as long as I must stopover at POM !
