This is a great tourist spot. Take a swim in the ocean, eat and drink. Food is good. Try a blue ocean cocktail one of our favs.
Great place for the view. But the food is so so. Expensive for the quality. But since yo can snorkel and use the dock it still worth it
I'm pretty sure some Canadians are behind this island bar and grill. There's poutine, rye, and Canadian licence plates on the wall. The food was good, the drinks great and the lounging areas, especially the in-water hammocks, were fun. The snorkeling was so-so but hey, it was a good afternoon all-round. Be sure to pay attention to the time so you're not just starting your next drink when your boat-taxi comes for you. :-)
OK. Some people raved about the Pizza but I found them greasy with limited pepperoni. Cajun chicken was dry with bland tomatoe sauce on it. Service was OK.
It is a quiet friendly restaurant-bar in the Caribbean. There is a reef nearby and snorkeling equipment is available. Boat access only.
Great afternoon hangout! You can only get to/from here by boat. Make arrangements with your boat driver to come back and pick you up.
such a sweet place, gotta get here by boat, but go for a dip in the blue ocean while they get you're meal together. Cool music. Good atmosphere. Take in some sun while eating fresh catch of the day.
The worst food I have ever eaten in Central America, but nice scenery.
Great place to drink in the sun and swim in the sea.
Poor service and bitten by the owners dog. Better places in bocas for a beer.
We didn't get food so I can't judge the place on that, but this is a tiny little piece of paradise that I would recommend to anyone. A beautiful spot a 10 minute boat ride from Bocas Town that is well worth a visit.
The scenery is incredible, you can borrow snorkeling gear for free and swim over the coral reef, and they have decent drinks for very decent prices. Happy hour is only an hour so be sure to get in quickly, but the deals are excellent, including $1.50 shots and beers.
A short water taxi ride from Bocas Town, The Blue Coconut is a fun afternoon destination. It is especially good for rainy days with the kids, because the food is taken care of, and you can do your skin diving from the dock. The water is clear and while it starts shallow, perhaps four feet deep by the dock, it drops to thirty or forty feet deep just a few meters out. It is a safe place to dive, as there is no measurable current, but there is plenty of coral to be seen, as well as fish, small to medium size. There are also starfish, and other aquatic life. Gear for the dive is provided, but if you have your own, bring it, especially for the children, as what is on offer is mostly sized for adults.
Beautiful location, the place looks fantastic, sadly the service was slow, unorganized and the food was disappointing. Iceburg lettuce salads and french fries were frozen from a bag. This place could be so much more. High potential, disappointing experience.
Awesome food! Great staff! Terrific views! Mac and Cheese balls were my fav!
Great view, good drinks and food, reasonably priced. Accessible by water taxi.
Terrible food and even worse service! Was so embarrassed as I suggested bringing my friends here - overpriced small portions of bad quality food. The passion fruit margarita was the only thing worth the $80 bill for 4 of us and we had to eat again when we got home as the food was bad and not filling enough! :(
