  We stayed here for 2 nights. Awesome place to be in. Room numbers 25-30 give the best views of the valley. Food was great and so was the stay.

  We stayed here 2 nights at the end of March 2018 with our two adult children. They shared their own (Premier) pod next to ours at the eastern end of the site: we think this is the best location. Being at the far end was worth the slightly longer walk from the main facilities. It avoids being overlooked giving a little more privacy, but more important to have that amazing uninterrupted "view" across the Al Hamra valley, especially for the beautiful sunsets! The pods are comfortable, spacious and well appointed; each has full length siding glazed doors onto its own private balcony, so the "view" can be enjoyed from the inside too. The food was excellent, with a wide selection of breakfast options and a buffet supper. The View is highly recommended not only for its views, but also its eco credentials.

  Fantastic views and hospitality. A venue that requires you to try off road driving. A warm and genuine welcome, slightly let down by the fact that it doesn't clearly advertise itself as a dry hotel and by average food at the restaurant.

  The location of The View is incredible. Getting there is most of the fun, and yes the view is awesome.
  But... the food is terrible, at least not what we expected from such a location.
  Bed linnen was also not 100% clean, and smelled like a swimmingpool.
  The staff that helped us with our lugage, was somewhat aggressive and not welcoming at all. Totally the opposite of what our experience is with other hotels in Oman.
  
  For us a hotel we will never visit again.

  As the name implies, this is all about the view. We visited just to grab some lunch but couldn't take our eyes off the stunning landscape below. Food was great if a little pricey (understandable given the distance up the mountain they have to carry it!).

  What can I say. This place literally takes your breath away. As the name suggests, the view is simply stunning and the infinity pool is perfect. The restaurant is a buffet style with a chef cooking something fresh in front of you. This changes daily and was extremely tasty.
  I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
  One point to make, if you are driving yourself there, it's best to get a 4x4 as the road is rock and steep
  The surrounding areas to visit also need a 4x4
