    The hotel is fine
I spent there one night . I experienced the turtles when they lay eggs and also I so a baby turtle crawling out the nest after hatching .
The hotel itself is amazing and comfortable with fabulous environment.
I sure you'll have an unforgettable experience out there. The beach is awesome especially when it's full moon. So poetic :)

This was an incredible, unique experience where I got to witness green turtles laying their eggs! And the reserve is very respectful and committed to the well being of the turtles which is great. It also has great residential facilities so you can enjoy an overnight stay enabling you to opt for both the night and morning turtle tours. There is also the option to stay in luxury eco tents which are fully kitted out with comfortable beds, bathrooms and all mod cons but it can be a noisy night due to the coastal wind thrashing against the rocky hills directly behind the tents. It definitely makes for a novel experience though!

Amazing. Sunrise at the beach with baby turtles walking into the sea for the 1st time in their lives. Very informative. Guides were omanis with good knowledge about the turtles and the eco system.

Poor information and timings available. No staff at desk and very unaccomadating. Basically ended up in a wasted 4 hour return journey. Also, NO TURTLES. Breeding and nesting is only may to September I believe. Out of these times do not expect to see an thing other than sand.

Ras al Jinz, a turtle reserve that helps to populate and protect the sea turtles of the Indian Ocean. If you visit during the summer, or between the months of May and October, you can see turtle nests along the beach and even watch the baby turtles hatch and make their way to the ocean. Visiting the turtle reserve is possible as a day trip

Good facility with a good mission. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean and the dinner and breakfast buffets delicious. The guides are passionate and professional and did their very best to ensure you see turtles. Wonderful experience.

It was a wonderful experience. We stayed in the eco tents. It was comfortable with all the facilities... like 'glamping' !! And the night sky was absolutely stunning.. a dream come tier true for city dwellers. We went to see the turtles on the beach with a guide in the night and it was an experience to remember seeing the large female turtles laying eggs and traversing the beach ! It is definitely a must do in Oman.

It's a place for you to take your kids and educate them about turtles and see the eggs hatch.
Only problem is that people are allowed to walk next to the nesting areas which creat a hassles for nesting turtles. Also, the lil turtles have an issue crossing the foot holes created by people walking around and they lose track to the sea shore.
I have also observed that kids and adults randomly walk and lift the lil turtles and the supervisor does absolutely nothing about it.

I got into an argument with few people when I tried stoping them. The photo enthusiasts are allowed to flash their cameras tight in front of the turtles, which is so not done. Few adults almost stomped the lil turtles since they were all around the nest.

The reserve is a great place to be. However, they should create walking bays on the side areas and not allow the customers to walk close to the nest.

Maybe some good binoculars from far would help.

Super interesting. A little crowded, but turtles don't seem to mind. Don't bring small kids if they won't keep quiet. It'll just ruin the experience for all.

Exquisite reserve and experience. It is a great feelung to be able to see and save freshly hatched turtles and watch the mother turtles trying to find the perfect spot to lay the eggs and camouflage the spot. The guides are very informative and nice people. The 4 am tour is a must if you wish to see baby turtles.

Ok buddy. Dont expect a luxury hotel. This place support the endangered sea turtles. So you pay to stay there, support and have amazing experience.

The "hotel" is definitely not worth it - the towels were not clean, the windows did not have blinds so the sun woke us up at 6am, the breakfast was mediocre. The actual turtle viewing was interesting. I would recommend staying somewhere else and only coming for the turtle viewing.

We made our reservation through Expedia. When we got to the hotel there were people in the lobby complaining that there were no rooms available. When we showed them our CONFIRMED Expedia reservation they said "sorry but we have no rooms". They then verified they had received our reservation and even provided me with a written statement that they could not provide me a room. So including all of the people complaining in the lobby on this one night they were THREE rooms short. I learned from a local that this is a government run property and that this is fairly common. They then "recommended" a hotel that was run by someone they know. I have a suspicion this hotel may be taking extra bookings then sending over to their "friend". Expedia should IMMEDIATELY discontinue allowing booking of this property through their web site.

Amazing experience. Best time to go is Sept-end Oct though if you want to see the full cycle on the beach from laying to hatching.
