A 33 year old male patient came with alleged history of injury to his right knee of more than 1 year duration by a 2 wheeler accident. He was having pain and instability in his right knee while walking.
He had visited many hospitals without much benefits before coming to lifeline hospital. He was diagnosed to have PCL avulsion fracture which was not healed. He was operated successfully by Dr Narayan Gowda and his operation theatre team recently by minimally invasive key hole... surgery - arthroscopic surgery. Post operatively patient is doing well in rehabilation programme.
PCL injuries are very rare compared to ACL injuries in a football crazy country like Sultanate of Oman where we see more of ACL injuries.
PCL surgery is a highly skilled surgery. This facility is not available in all the hospitals in Sultanate of Oman easpecially in North Batina region.
We are confident and happy to receive such challenging patients in lifeline hospital for arthroscopic surgeries.
We are regularly doing ACL and Meniscal surgeries arthroscopically along with trauma and joint replacement.
