Did the glow worm cave tubing, it was boring and absolutely overpriced. 215$ for walk in optionphotos are 40$ for 10 picturescome on! They weren't even good quality. The worst was that you got the impression to go on an adventure with all the gear you get. But in reality the 5 hour trip was like that: Briefing and waiting: 1h, driving to and from the river:2h, waiting for everyone to get down the zipline: 30min, walking with the tube because the river level was too low to actually do some tubing: almost all of the time! Sitting in a way too small whirlpool, looking at some bad and very expensive pictures wishing you hadn't just spent 215 dollars for the tour: the rest of the time.
Maybe the trip would have been better with more water in the river or guides who behaved like their customers just spent a lot of money for the trip. But for 215$ the trip is a total rip off. I've seen company's doing rafting trips with included pictures and complementary BBQ afterwards for 160$. This trip is just a joke!
We moved to Greymouth year agofinally went on a tubing and glow worm tour with Wild West a couple of months ago. WHAT FUN! My daughter, her friend and I had such an incredible day. Yes, we will do another asap.
Went on a blackwater tubing/glow worm cave tour, it was fun, though the water is not warm! There's a hot tub back in the office that you can jump into to warm up afterwards!
We did have a lot of fun from west wild, thank you for guiding us!!!
Paul is really rude. There are too many other rental options for one to have to put up with his rubbish.
