The service was very good but food below par for the price, my partner and i got the sirloin steak which was undercooked and cold and had to be taken back then eating it, it was extremely chewy and atleast 40% fat which we almost chocked on. That and a little basket of fries? Would not recommend when there is others offering more for that price point.

Great coffee, yummy chips, cosy fire. Perfect place for a drop in on a cold day. Can't wait to come back and try out the dinner menu.

Great meals and very friendly staff.
We had a booking for 6 adults and 5 kids, we were seated straight away and looked after for the whole meal. We had no issues with any of the meals and we were kept topped up with water and drinks.
Prices were in line with the quality of the food, I would definitely go back here again.

Booked at 7.40pm. Arrived a couple of minutes late and were promptly seated and then forgotten about. Waited about 20 minutes for a menu so actually had to get up and ask. Seemed an eternity before they came and took our order. Had to ask them for drinks and water for the table. Ironically when the food did come it was very nice other than a couple of meals being incorrect.
At no time time during the meal were we asked if everything was ok or did we want more drinks. We noticed several other tables complain about their meals/service while we were there. We decided to go elsewhere for pudding. It was ruining my birthday tea. Wouldn't recommend this venue. We went to Saints for desert. Fantastic service and food.

Simple and delicious. Had salmon and lamb with veggies, they kindly swapped potatoes for black rice. Really nice staff (owners?) Not pricey, portions are just right.

We have just had a beautiful meal at What Ever in Hanmer. We both had Salmon. This would be the best Salmon we have had. The vegetables were cooked just right. We also had Knickerbocker Glory & Caramel Brulee. These were also beautiful. The service was amazing very friendly, atmosphere warm and welcoming. We have actually booked to go back again in May when we will next be in Hanmer. We rate this restaurant a 5.

Friendly service and kid friendly environment but the food was terrible. Vegetables were undercooked and hard to eat and the chicken was so overcooked there was no moisture left at all. To top it off the owners didn't even ask how the food was - I'm guessing they knew it was below par.

Very Nice. Great value family dining by a welcoming local couple. Much more pleasant than other 'chain' restaurants. Excellent fare for he grown-ups with good variety for the kids. Chicken and Fish were very nice would come again.
