  Real clean, light and airy. Can be windy & draughty also. The New World store is a definite plus being here. Ticket selling staff are helpful and suggested a cheaper alternative for travel with school age children - the Metlink Explorer!

  Start of the Northern Explorer KiwiRail train trip to Auckland. Excellent New World for snacks ahead of your trip in the Railway Station which is a lovely historic building. Great restful way to travel and NO airport security!

  This classic historical building is the major land transport hub for Wellington city, connecting via a short tunnel to buses in every direction, the Bluebridge ferry across the road, and power-walking corridors down Featherston Street / along the waterfront. There's a supermarket, coffee cart, and a pub to while away the time. Intercity buses also depart from here.
  
  You can buy tickets from the conductor while you're on the train, and avoid queueing up at the ticket counter. For trust journeys it's best to pre order a ten trip ticket or monthly pass from the kiosk window.

  I have had enough of the bloody diggers out the front & going through the station doing the same thing.
  
  This happened today, then saw the same guy was asking people around the station.
  
  I went & spoke to one of the staff there & they don't give a f***.
  
  This staff member was very rude.
