New menu addition: "Platter" Ordered for party of six. Assorted cheeses; crackers , dips etc. Ingredients freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Its a must try on your next visit to Cheviot. As my fisrt meal in a south island cafe, i couldn't be happier.

Continuously high quality in food. Great coffees. Freshest cabinet food available too. Very relaxing out door area. Wine tasting and gifts to buy available on site.

They make the best pies at NZ we have ever tried and eaten. And the value for the money is great. On top of it you can do wine tasting of Mt. Beautiful in the same building. Without any hesitation we all could agree that their wives belong to the top wines of NZ too and we bought 6 bottles of their delicious wines. And the lady Juliet serving is there was very knowledge, friendly and helpful as well. This is a must stop if you're travelling between Christchurch and Kaikoura.
