Very relaxing and tranquil place with amazing sunset. Nice big living room where all guests could gather and exchange life and travel stories.

I'm reluctant to leave a positive review because I selfishly want this place to remain a little secret. I stayed here several years ago for what was only supposed to be one night but ended up turning into several; it was definitely a highlight of our road trip. It's basically a quiet cabin overlooking the ocean. It was very clean, and the couple who were running the place could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. You have to hike up a small hill and the building is powered by a water wheel. There are few better ways to begin a South Island adventure. I still hope to return some day.

A unique experience, I highly recommend. be ready to get there, it's a 10 min hike. nice rooms and showers and if you have a tent it's also a cheap and fun option.
