Friendly, knowledgeable and cheerful staff made us feel welcome. As to the kiwis, I felt a bit sorry for them, but I suppose that they are being well enough looked after. The centre looks a bit shabby from the outside, but the interior is okay, things seem well arranged.
A better Kiwi experience than the Aukland zoo. The exhibits are simple but informative and a fairly good price
A nice educational experience with friendly staff and interesting exhibits like the giant eel and kiwis. Couldn’t catch a crawly though.
Went there on a rainy day. Good place to see the kiwibirds up close, but both kiwis looked very sad. It was exciting to see them that well but I also felt very sorry for them.
Great well worth it lots of things to do great
Looks run down from the outside but the staff were super friendly and enthusiastic. Feeding the eels, catching crayfish and seeing the kiwis was amazing. It's not a very big place but all the animals seemed very happy and cared for. Definitely worth going to.
Great place to see and hold the kiwi birds but the entry free is 24 $ for adults. So expensive. I didn't go inside. 😤
Worth it just for the Kiwi. However, there's so much more than just the Kiwi, there's eel feeding, crayfish pond and so much more. Well worth the small admission price.
This place needs to be renovated urgently! Some aquarium are under construction and obviously not since a few days lots of other aquarium are decorated with plastic plants and look really sad. Not to mention the poor kiwis. Can't find any conservation value and went out with a really sad feeling about the animals there.
A fantastic experience, and not just for the kiwis: I highly recommend visiting for the eel feeding, where you can hand feed and even pet the giant eels. The staff are friendly and informative, and the centre houses a wealth of information on NZ's wildlife.
Excellent experience. Saw giant eels and kiwis that were very active. Totally worth it! A+++
