This was an absolute highlight of walking the Milford track, made more spectacular because of the rain the day before☺a must see worth the extra ks
In a country that holds a special place in our hearts, this gorgeous 580m waterfall was easily New Zealand's most spectacular waterfall and certainly the one waterfall that was heads-and-shoulders better than the other waterfalls that Julie and I had visited in the Land of the Long White Cloud. And given its remote location deep in the wild and beautiful Fiordland National Park (also a World Heritage Area), it was one of many highlights of the Milford Track - said to be one of the finest walks in the world.
Do not consider this an "optional" side hike. This is the crown jewel of Milford Track and well worth the extra time.
Love this one
A stunning collection of waterfalls over 500 metres tall. If you go to the closest viewpoint it feels like you are in a washing machine getting hit by the spray. It's a side track on the Milford track and absolute must do if you do the trek.
Plan to go there one day. Sounds mean. Feel the cold of the south where I was born and breed.hoo
Amazing waterfalls
One of the greatest attractions of Milford Sound tours. A must see.
