Thank you SPC community for your generous donations to the Cans 4 Christmas initiative. Including cans that came in after the initial collection we gathered roughly 3,000 cans for the St Vincent de Paul society and the work they will do over Christmas supporting those in need. We look forward to another great collection next year!
Tomorrow is our annual Cans 4 Christmas collection. These cans will go to the St Vincent de Paul society and the work they are doing supporting those less fortunate. Please remember to bring 3 cans in support of this. Also it is not a mufti day unlike previous years.
Due to COVID restrictions and the inability to postpone the event into exam season, I’m sadly announcing that the SPC Run-a-thon 2020 is being CANCELLED. The event has been revised and we have come to this decision after exploring every option available. We will be leaving a plan and schedule for the prefect team to use next year so the event could happen in the future (next year)!

Update
Dear Parents
This afternoon the Prime Minister announced that Auckland will remain under Alert Level 3 until Sunday night.
...Online classes will end at 3pm this Friday 28th and on Monday 31st August students are to return onsite to Mountain Rd. The school will be operating under Level 2 conditions which will be outlined to you later in the week.
From Monday it will be mandatory on public transport to wear face masks. This means boys will not be able to travel on buses, trains or ferries unless they have a face mask. Please ensure you use this time to organise your son a face mask.
The Level 2 Auckland mass gathering rules will have ramifications on our co-curricular programmes. I will keep you informed once we know what these will be.
The shadow of coronavirus has loomed over us for much of 2020; unfortunately this will continue for a little longer.
One thing you can be certain of is that our staff will ensure your son’s learning continues and is well catered for.
Ma te Atua tātou e manaaki God’s blessings
James Bentley Headmaster
