It is not crowdy. We tried the Snow Fun Zone where my family could play snow tubing and experience real snow. The admission fee for the zone is very reasonable.

Affordable rate.. Had fun in the snow ..it was a long drive going up and quite slippery,but when we reached the place.. It was amazing.. It was worth the trip

This is the premier cross country ski facility in the southern hemisphere. The ski season runs from July through end of September, but August is safest for good snow conditions. The lodge is located right on the ski trails. A large number of international ski teams make annual visits. - testament to the quality of the faculty! Friendly staff, basic but comfortable rooms and excellent bucfet-style food. You won't go hungry! There's a bar/cafe a waxroom and a gym. Winter paradise!

Snow fun zone is closed to adults. We came all the way from Queenstown to build a snowman. Very disappointed.
