This isn't your standard boat ride, or bus journey! Dave, our bus driver, was filled with so much information (and jokes) about the area of Queenstown, and the valley down to Skippers Canyon! It's one of the gnarliest drives I've ever been on but Dave is a pro!
Once we got to the boats, we were provided with life-jackets and then stepped on to the boat - definitely recommend the front seat! We were then taken on our trip up and down the canyon, doing lots of 180 spins and getting wet! There's lots of surprises along the river!

The ride to the canyon and the jetboat ride were all great. Unfortunately, we had trouble getting onto the bus due to a spelling error on the sheet that they were using to check us in. This wouldn't have been a big deal except that because of this, we boarded the bus last (and we were there early) - and ended up separated during the driving portion of the trip - which definitely took away from the experience. They could definitely use a better system to get people checked in and onto the bus.

Our tour to the jet boat was full of jokes and very informative. Dave ensured we knew we were safe through out the whole trip, reminding those afraid of heights where to look for their comfort.
The jet boat ride was spectacular, amazing views and adrenaline turns and spins. Their control of the boat was out of this world. I highly, highly recommend joining Skippers Canyon jet on your Queenstown adventure! 10/10response / report this review -

Jet boating usually isnt my thing but I had such a great time on this trip! The scenery in the canyon is what I enjoyed most about the jet boat ride, the spins and how fast it goes are bonuses :) the bus ride out was just as entertaining as the jet boat ride in my opinion! Woolly was so informative and was happy to chat on the bus and the views were amazing. Would definitely recommend

WOW ! What an awesome experience. We we're looking for a jet boat experience and I can recommend locally owned and operated Skippers Canyon as the best in Queenstown ! The drive with Dave at the wheel was breath taking and informative. We then transferred to the jet boat and into the safe hands of Elliott and away we wentadrenalin pumping against a backdrop of some of the most amazing landscape in the world. Thank you Dave and Elliott and all at Skippers Canyon Jet Boatyou provide a value packed 3 hour experience which we'll take with us as one of our best Queenstown memories. We'll be back !

You're taken on a 3 hour adventure by the wonderful Skippers Canyon Jet staff, collected in Queenstown with a 45 minute drive through the most amazing scenery to Skippers canyon. There are many Lord of The Rings highlights throughout along with fascinating commentary. Then you hop on for an exhilarating jet boat ride up and down the river before returning to Queenstown.

Had an amazing time on the ride over and on the jet boat itself. The staff were all extremely friendly and the views beyond amazing. If you're wanting to do a jet boat ride I couldn't recommend one higher.

Cannot recommend enough! Price includes transport to the canyon, which is more like a tour than anything. Gorgeous drive, some cool views and got lots of history and stories from our driver about the area. The boat itself was so much fun, really fast and didn't get too wet! Book it up!!

We had a holiday in Queenstown and had a fentestic jet ride with skipper canyon jet, very professional, worth spend, so friendly staff and you get more than you expected. Very strongly recommend

We loved this because it combined a great jet boat experience with a death defying bus tour through the hills beforehand. Great guides, good sights, a hell of an adrenaline rush, and a really good time! Also you get the personal touch of a family run business.

Fantastic tour. When considering doing a jet boat tour in queenstown don't bother with any of the others. Fantastic tour from start to finish; with the drive out you get the mining and gold rush history of the area as you drive the narrow winding skippers canyon road (which by itself would be worth the money). Our driver Willy was terrific. The jet ride is awesome with a couple of stops along the way to explain more history about the area in between skimming canyon walls and the like and then the way back is a nonstop adrenaline ride, getting even closer to the canyon walls and a few more 360 spins along the way. I had a great customer experience. The canyon is much narrower in places than the shotover jet and the rapids run faster which makes it better and more fun

Great trip in, very scenic. The river trip was the best area I have seen in this area. Better value than Shoot Over Jet. Dave the bus driver put on a one hour comedy show on the way there.
