Called in this afternoon on our way through Matamata for a smoothie, only to be told they are closed. Website says closing time is 5pm it was 4.45pm. Seriously Matamata!

The coffee and cabinet food was ok, but some of the staff were not at all friendly. A simple request for a bit of hot water was met with a lot of resistance and eye rolling. Not the attitude you need or want in the hospitality industry.

We went there today for lunch travelling through Matamata going south. We both chose the salmon roulade. Unfortunate choice. Very stodgy and flabby with very little salmon in them. The two flat whites were ghastly. I couldn't drink mine and left it. The toilets too are in very serious need of a good scrub and a general overhaul. The towel dispenser wasn't working and the liquid soap had been watered down. Not hygienic. We won't be going back there any time soon. Btw. It wasn't busy at all. They need to up their game, drastically.

Nice and cozy place to grab a coffee and quick bite. Plenty of space to seat, work on laptop. Free laptop. Outdoor seating area available as well.

Very average coffee shop.. Nothing special.. coffee is alright and food is ok! The washrooms need some love and they should invest in some more decoration.. The staff look like they don't really like working there but anyone need to work at some point I guess Wifi was fine.

The coffee is nice the place looks good and the wifi is GREAT! 5 stars for the wifi. I am staying at the horse and jockey who have terrible wifi, so I am very happy I can sit comfortably, enjoy good value coffee, and be connected reliably.

Generally good clean and friendly. Nothing for kids at all. At least get a coloring pass and pencils please! Loads of space available so could easily throw in a kids area with toys.
