  High quality cafe food with a lovely river view. We enjoyed our food however would not recommend those people who are in rush during the lunch hour/summer break Li 8. It took almost 30 minuets to get our order even after the lunch rush (we walked in at 1340hrs and left at 1420hrs)

  Great old house turned into cafe. Service is good food good view great. Even gave us a puzzle box. It could use a bike rack

  What a great location.
  We went for lunch and we both liked our meals. The staff are friendly and the good is of good quality. A bit pricy though, but is totally worth it.

  Fantasticly delicious menu, beautifully presented plates. Friendly and attentive service. Lovely river and garden view from verandah. My new lunch favourite when dining in Hamilton!

  The food here is amazing! Went for a lunch date with my grandfather last week and he said the boneless ribs were fantastic. The chef is very accomodating and in an email said he was happy for me to choose anything on the menu and he would make a vegan adaptation. The corn fritters are awesome.

  The building and its grounds are beautiful. Service is fast, no time to chit chat when it's only a couple of staff manning the fort. Food is yummy but not the largest serving. Coffee is great! Price is average, depends what you get. Great place for the kids as there is an onsite playground. We'll be back.

  The most creatively inspired meal I've eaten so far! While they do not have a set vegan menu, the confident chef advised that he could adapt almost any meal on the main menu. Instead of using the menu, I challenged him to a breakfast of the following: Avocado, mushrooms, spinach, scrambled tofu and vegan aioli. The artistry that resulted was heaven to my taste buds! The tofu scramble was not a traditional scramble, but had been textured and flavoured in such a way that it was a totally unique culinary experience!
  I cannot do this meal justice with words, but believe me when I tell you that this chef is a genius! The staff are friendly at Riverview Café and the garden setting aside the river allows a tranquil ambience. I will be coming here again when I next visit Hamilton!
