There's a small hall approx 15m x 10m which has various table games such as pool, table tennis, but also has lego and board games. A rickety old piano stands in the corner.
It's good for a rainy period, when you need to entertain the kids.
Adjacent to the campsite was (Oct) a small enclosure for this years woolen offspring, which were delightful for my kids.
Kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, and is about the right size for the campsite.

Not linked to the campsite is a waste dumping station in the local village fuel station. Be warned that it is obscured by parked vehicles not only in photographs, but in practice

I stayed at a powered site with my campervan for one night. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I payed 20$ for a powered site for one person.
There is a big kitchen and everything that you need for cooking for free use. There is also a fireplace in the big tv room. A nice warm fire. 😊 Everything is old, but clean. Only the roof in the restrooms is a little bit destroyed.
The people who are staying here are very friendly as well.

We had a lovely night in a cozy little cabin. Clean, warm, and great smell of wood. Lovely view of the sea. The common room was large and full games with a fire place. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with dishes and utensils and the host even found some wine glasses for us to enjoy or wine in. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. Really great water pressure in showers. Only down fall were the rednecks with the TV on full volume in the common room while they were in the kitchen not watching, but we ate dinner together in our cabin and all was well.

Riverton is a wee gem at the bottom of the south island 30 minutes from Invercargill. Motorcamp with hotel rooms is situated slightly above sea level. Large common room ample campsites and well maintained rooms and grounds. Staff are vreat being locals they have the knowledge to make your stay very enjoyable. Riverton summers are wonderful with a large sea inlet making it a boaties and fisherman's southern paradise. If your in south don't miss this country sea town with great accommodation, cafes and southern hospitality.

Lovely place very friendly staff, nice and quiet and really clean - and so much to see and do in the surrounding area! Owners very knowledgeable about best places to swim and sightsee. Love Riverton!
