Great cruise to bring us to the caves, guides are courteous, cave is natural and majestic, walkways are safe and the glow worm boat ride is simply amazing.

We did the Milford Sound boat trip and the Queenstown boat trip. Both excellent. Really enjoyed both experiences.

Very popular with people who like Buses and Boats. You will notice an interesting mix of young Asian women and pesty looking older men who are often sporting an aggressive moustache, cargo pants and "Bumbag".

Really cool tour to see the glow worms. We did the 7pm and it was packed, the 8:15pm tour after was quiet so maybe go then. I don't think the tour is expensive when you see the work gone into getting you in the cave and onto the boats.

Really special experience when the lights are turned off and you can see the natural lights above you.

A nice boat cruise, short walk through a cave, jump in another small boat to see the glow worms and then you walk back for a short presentation about the glowworms. I agree with the other reviews that it's over priced but it's still a pretty cool side attraction if you're making you're way down to Milford anyway. Keep an eye out on grabone.co.nz for last minute deals.

The real drawback is that you can't take any videos or photos in the caves - which I think is a huge drawback. They claimed it's so you can adjust your eyes but it very much seems arbitrary or a way to make sure people's terrible photos don't deter anyone.

Excellent team and operations. Went on the Doubful Sounds overnight cruise and then the Te Anua glowworm tour and both were run perfectly.

Great tour. Driver was great and very funny. Not fussed on the attitude of the translator on board but that didn't detract from thr experience of the tour. We went on the nature tour for the boat and the staff were all very helpful and happy. Very happy with the overall experience.

Folks don't miss out on this hidden treasure. If you have mobility difficulties this may not appeal as there is a spot where you must bend quite low to get under the boulders & into the cavern. If you have children definitely take them. The descriptive commentary before you enter underground was both informative and entertaining. No photos as the glow worms are affected by light.

We took the Glow Worm Cave adventure and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was actually the highlight of our 3 week trip to New Zealand, aside from the Ulva island bird reserve off of Stewart Island. The price is steep, but the catamaran ride is top notch, as are the staff who guide you through the cave.

Great experience taking this Doubtful Sound Day Cruise. I would go 10 times more. I cannot explain how great we felt when we took this tour. The cruises were very sophisticated, well maintained. The tours were a little pricey but definitely worth the money. We were offered free coffee and tea aboard the cruise. Over all a great experience.
