Good and cheap which is good, cabin could do with a oil heater hope to come back in the summer time

Nice place. Quiet this time of year. Cold in the rooms but that's the same for all NZ motel lodge in June / July. Heaters and electric blankets certainly helped. Stayed just 1 night. Played the mini golf to waste an hour. Local pub a 5-10 minute walk away. Great steaks.

The cabins were quite grubby and the beds felt more like hammocks. The showers are very good though.

Nice enough park, has all the sorts of facilities you need. A lot of the buildings are quite old and small but they work fine

Good for kids. Good walkway access to river for fishing etc and beautiful scenery.

Only had an overnighter here but the staff were extremely friendly. When I asked for a checkout time I was told, 'whenever you like, there's no rush'. We needed that sleep in as we were still on Western Australian time! Still the cheapest holiday park so far on our trip.
