I walked in with 4 other people, one of them elderly and we asked if we could have a seat, the waitress abruptly said “no i will not ask people to move as that is rude”. There was a table free in the corner with one person reading the paper who had finished their meal. Another table was free with people just talking though there was a 2 seat table free under the pavilion. She unknowingly turned away 5 people who were willing to spend $150+. Instead we went to the Firepot Cafe in Gordonton which was friendlier, accomodating and had wonderful food. As for Wodlands Cafe you never turn away potential customers, we were willing to wait 5 mins while they juggled the seating around but no, bad service do NOT recommend this now, i will be passing this information onto Friends and Family.
Enjoyed a perfect winters day at Woodlands Estate. The cafe was picture perfect against the beautiful grounds and garden. The service and food were excellent. The place just has such a relaxed vibe. Perfect for couples or families. A highlight was the excellent coffee and homemade deserts. Highly recommend!!
Back again for their amazing eggs ben also great place to come if you're looking for homemade GF and Vegen options. A+ for location and scenery.
Great place to take kids. Lots of space for them to run around, free to explore the ground of the nearby historic homestead (small charge if you want to go inside). Good range of food and coffee is reasonable. They also have little bikes/carts etc for the kids to play with, and a play house
